In 1964, the team of Holland, Dozier and Holland rang the cash register with the Supremes as the guys found a groove that sold records and made the girls into stars. This first song was the biggest hit Motown had come up with so far.

The Supremes: “Where Did Our Love Go”

The tendency to milk the same idea produced another huge hit for the girls and their song writing team.

The Supremes: “Baby Love”

By the end of ’64, the guys had decided to try something a little different with the girls, and it turned out to be a real gem.

The Supremes: “Come See About Me”
