This is Trayvon-type story which so far has had limited coverage, and should stay that way unless more "activists" become involved (i.e. Sharpton) - but the complaints that either the shooter should have pulled his gun earlier (activist's hypothesis is
not what the shooter reported to police), or that the shooter should have seen Ja'quares was "just a child" (earlier article) don't hold water. However, the Trayvon narrative was a media fabrication as well.
14 (almost 15 yr old) Gangbanger (yes he was actually in a gang) is shot by armed citizen after approaching an occupied car with a loaded and coacked pistol and ordering the occupants to "give it up"...yet mother of dead thug demands a meeting with the Police Chief because she is not satisfied that the vehicle owner/shooter was not arrested.

I heard about this case. Ja’quares went off with some older boys. His mother didn’t know where he was going or who those boys were. Some speculated it was a gang initiation thing, in which the older boys told Ja’quares to hold up the people in the car.
Too bad he got killed. I wonder what happened to those boys he was with that night. I wonder if they took off at the sound of gunfire.

There was a famous case in the olden days of the Wild West.
A fellow opened fire with a Colt .45 trying to hit another fellow some 200 yards away. The other guy was armed with a Winchester rifle and was an excellent shot. The pistol-packin' hombre died.
The local authorities decided it was clearly a suicide, since no one who was in his right mind would engage a rifleman 200 yards away with a pistol.
Ja'Quares' lawyers and Mom may want to try that line of reasoning. Obviously the young fellow was upset over flubbing a problem on his calculus homework. He never intended shooting anyone. Poor kid just wanted to "end it all."
