shelter officials denied that the jetting around and the pressures of meeting his fans might have contributed to Meows demise No, I'm afraid it was the sight of Anderson Cooper that did him in.

I recently met a really fat cat. The owners said he had a medical condition that took a long time to figure out and got fat during the time that he was not feeling very good or very mobile. What I didn’t realize is that it is a very long, slow process to bring down a cat’s weight in a healthy way. They are a few months into a year and a half process.

If this huge misfortune applies to humans why are we still burdened with Michael Moore?

A toy company should make a Meow Cat stuffed toy cat that looks just like him.

Our Maine Coon girl cat, Miss Olivia is large and in charge at 14.5 pounds, but that’s OK for that breed.

Sad. I’d bet open bowl, and no activity. Just a layabout, and packed on the pounds.
We have a 16 year old Calico with similar problem. She just wants to lay on the couch, watch “Queen for a Day”, and eat bon bons.

My kitten, Chaos, is 8 months old and is already 13 pounds. I’m not sure what breed he is- I adopted him as an 8 week-old orphan right after Hurricane Irene- but I’m thinking he has either Norwegian Forest cat or Maine Coon in his lineage. He’s so big that we call him our “Geico watch panther”. :-)

There is a large size cat at the no-kill cat shelter that I socialize, but he would be considered small compared to Meow. Very, very sad that Meow had passed. Must have been fed nothing but dry cat food, which if not combined with wet, will put on the pounds in no time. :(=^..^=

Now, that’s one fat cat. Still a sad story, though.

Poor baby. She’s at the age where playing and being active isn’t too high on her list,
I’m convinced that the junky high-carb cat foods have a lot to do with feline fatness. Cats aren’t made to digest carbs.
