Governor Sarah Palin Endorses Ted Cruz for U.S. Senate
Ted Cruz ^ | Thursday May 10, 2012

AUSTIN—Just four days before the start of early voting in the Texas Senate primary, the Ted Cruz campaign announced the endorsement of Governor Sarah Palin and her husband Todd Palin. In response to a letter from Ted Cruz, Governor Sarah Palin wrote: “We’re proud to join conservatives in Texas and throughout the nation in supporting your campaign to become the next Senator from the Lone Star State.”

"Your conservative principles, passionate defense of our Constitution and our free market system come at a time when these cornerstones of our freedom and prosperity are under attack,” Governor Palin added. “Our shared goal isn’t just to change the majority in control of the Senate, but to assure principled conservatives like you are there to fight for us.”

Ted Cruz responded, “Governor Palin has been an inspiration to conservatives across Texas and across the Nation. She is principled and passionate and never afraid to speak truth to establishment power. I am humbled and honored to have Governor Palin’s support as we fight to restore fiscal sanity to the circus that is Washington. With Governor Palin’s support, and the support of tens of thousands of conservatives from all across Texas, we will turn our country around, rein in out-of-control spending and debt in Washington, and restore the Constitution.”

Awesome!!! And perfect timing!!!!!!!

Cruz is the real deal, folks! (Dewhurst is not evil, he’s not even really a moderate...he is a conservative...but unlike Cruz, he’s not a conservative deep in his heart).

I predict a runoff b/w Cruz and Dewhurst.

And then let the games begin!!!!

Go Cruz! Go Palin!!!

Glad I saw this. I would have probably voted for Dewhurst. Now I will vote for Cruz.

This is a good endorsement.

I wish she had done this for Newt, but we need Cruz in the Senate to oppose Obama, who will now be re-elected.

Sweet. Stop Dewhurst before he can become the next Lick Dugar.

This, plus the Club For Growth (which previously endorsed Cruz) is rolling out pro-Cruz ads statewide now.

CRUZ!

You're giving up 6 months before election day?

When Obama's behind by 4 (Ras) and 3 (Gallup) points?

Before selecting a VP nominee? Before going on the offensive?

Wow, glad I don't share a foxhole with you. Just saying.

A very impressive man. He’s a strong and persuasive speaker and we would be fortunate to have him in the US Senate

This helps me decide although Palin did endorse McCain and I’ve never quite gotten over that.

I further predict that Joe Agris will not make the runoff.

Nor will Curt Cleaver, for that matter.

(Hopefully you are not Joe or Curt...but if you are, nothing personal.....)

Interestingly, there are ZERO polls out right now among LV’s which show obama leading. Mostly, he is losing, and in the case of Rasmussen, losing badly. I think one of the Democrap firms shows him tied among LVs, but that’s his best showing.

All the cheering for obama at free republic may not in fact be enough to put him over the top. There’s going to be plenty of handwringing around here if obama doesn’t win come November.

(As you might say, again, “just sayin’...”).

I like Cruz and plan to vote for him. Dewhurst is an ok guy, I’ve met him a couple times and seems decent enough. Problem is that, like another poster mentioned, I see him warping into another Luger if he reaches the Senate.

We are really supporting this guy—he’s the real deal!

(We can tell by the lying news articles from Mr. Dewhrst)!

LOL!

Dewhurst is the primary reason we have Strauss running the Senate. Dewhurst has access to an enormous war chest and power machine in Austin - which is now the San Francisco of Texas. With Dewhurst we have another Kay Bailey Hutchison. It is way past time that we had at least one Conservative Senator from Texas so once we elect Cruz then we need to start working to get Cornyn replaced in 2014.
