This health craze is mostly driven by secularists. This life is all they have, so that’s why they worship beauty and health. These health nuts, who wax eloquently about all the elixirs, rare plants, etc. necessary to keep their bodies pure of saturated fat (shudder!), are the same folks pushing sodomy as normal and abortion as simple contraception.

OH Bull crap. I work out 6-7 days per week and really watch what I eat and this does not match me nor anyone I know who has the same healthy lifestyle as I do...and I know a bunch of people in the health/fitness industry.

I was writing generally. There are exceptions to every rule. It is one thing to take care of your body, but the health nuts take it well beyond that. To a Bible-believing Christian, spiritual health is more important. Frankly, it does no good to extend one’s life a year or two if one faces eternal damnation when one dies.

Additionally, I think there’s something abnormal about the relatively recent fixation on health. It’s strange that that focus is (generally) coming from the same folks who are pushing the homosexual agenda and abortion, both of which are unhealthy. I do agree many modern Christians seem to be caught up in this health craze. While they don’t (generally) buy into the left’s sacraments of sodomy and abortion, I think they would be better to focus on Christ.

I think you misunderstood his point. I didn't take the post to imply that every fitness buff (and I plead guilty to being one) is a food nazi. It took it to mean that these extremist food nazis are all ideologically driven humanists who are motivated by some extreme food purity mentality. They don't actually know or practice a healthy diet of moderation themselves but they see this as a way to further control others while at the same time patting themselves on the back for what a "good person" they are by helping those poor ignorant overweight people who just can't help themselves.

So? I have a different experience. I TAUGHT aerobics, I was a ballerina before kids and I say CitizenUSA is correct. Anecdotal evidence is not truth.
