We rolled the GOP-E up and smoked 'em, but the media need the GOP-E thwarting us like good little trojan horses. So they'll play along.
Why Dick Lugar Will Be the Tea Party's Only 2012 Victim
Victim? Ahahaha. This is what we're up against folks. All of you who have thought that the media is vehemently anti-republican, you've thought wrong.
The media is strictly anti-conservative. Any republican that advances a big government agenda will be welcomed warmly by the media. Remember "the maverick".
The Tea Party - but how can that be????? The MSM has been declaring the Tea Party movement dead for months! How could the MSM actually be wrong about anything involving politics and the tastes of the average voter - impossible!
It’s really quite simple. We would rather have Mourdock than more Dick.
Good riddance! About time.
Did it help that he had voted for TARP and proudly touted his support for the DREAM Act? Or that as recently as Monday he was on the campaign trail defending the practice of earmarking? Absolutely not.
So throughout the entire article I keep hearing... Lugar just wasn't conservative enough for the people of IN and was out of touch with the voters. His votes for more spending and amnesty, combined with his age and residency in DC is what got him voted out.
UUUUhhhhhhhmmmm. So, yea, what the Tea Party fans were saying.
At its heart, Lugars defeat was attributable to the fact that he broke the political golden rule: Never lose touch with the people who elected you.
At it's heart, politicians being out of touch with the people who elected them is exactly what the TEA Party is all about.
They seem like unbiased and totally independent pollsters with no agenda. The last thing the dems want to hear is tht there is significant reason to pay attention to the Tea Pary message.
What a farce.
Actually, it was that he did not wear the magic underwear. this is the year of magic underwear.
And that, Dick, is why you got voted out. You compromised away more debt and the bond holders of IN rights in GM and Chrystler. Murdock filed lawsuits against the fed to get Hoosier retirements back from GM and Chrystler after Lugar voted with Obama to "forgive" them.
Whatever. If Lugar had stayed in touch, he would’ve not been such a liberal Republican. And then there would’ve been no need to boot his ass.
Jesse Helms would’ve never been Tea Partied. He was a true conservative.
Same with Jim DeMint. Or Jim Inhofe. These men are CONSERVATIVES. They can serve for many terms, if they wish, and will not be primaried from the right.
That was why he was made a target of the tea party. Good grief do they think we target people because we don't like their hair style? We target them because they are no longer representing the conservatives (IOW The people who elected them) in their district.
Oh, the weeping and gnashing of teeth at the Washington Post. The terrible, heartfelt feeling of loss of the GOP-E. Oh, the suffering humanity!
