Excellent prayer:
For the love of all that is good and pure, please Lord, smack the convention delegates upside the head. Cause them to be blinded to Romnuckaney. May the power of your loving Hand cause them to shout in unison, PALIN! Amen.

I doubt Huckabee's on the short list. As someone else noted, there's too much bad blood between them after 2008, and I think Romney's unlikely to pick another Governor (which is why Martinez and others have probably moved down the list)
He'd certainly shore up Romney's lack of socially conservative credentials, but Obama's not going to win the Bible Belt regardless, and I can think of better running mates. I don't think Huckabee's record on fiscal issues is all that "liberal" (just like Christie's record on social issues isn't all that "liberal"... real "social liberals" in NJ hate Christie and the "rich should pay their fair share" folks in Arkansas hated Huckabee when he was in office for mocking their agenda). But in both cases, it's all about perception and plenty of conservatives are convinced they're Satan and would scream bloody murder 'til election day.
Huckabee would be preferable to a Fontano-type and a disastrous pick like Rice, but there are better choices available and Romney will probably look elsewhere.

I would think this comes down to electoral politics. If Romney gets the nomination he will need a VP candidate who can help carry one of the big swing states. If he thinks he can win FL without Rubio he will try to get someone who can help move PA, OH or maybe MI into his column.

Huckabee for Veep? That way we have have TWO, TWO STATISTS for the price of one!
That would give me just one more reason to vote for Virgil Goode.

For the sake of his health if should be Ethiopia. We wouldn’t want him to get obese again.
