Gay group starts petition to force Dems to move convention out of NC

A gay advocacy group is trying to rally sympathizers to help shift the Democrats’ trouble-plagued convention from North Carolina to another state.
The group, Gay Marriage USA, launched a petition on change.org immediately after the state’s voters overwhelmingly decided May 8 to define marriage as a heterosexual institution.
The state’s amendment “discriminates against LGBT people, couples & their families [and] in protest, the Democratic National Convention Committee should MOVE its convention… to a state that upholds values of equality & liberty, and which treats ALL citizens equally,” according to a statement by the group on change.org.
The petition quickly picked up roughly 15,000 votes by 11 a.m. EST, May 9.

I’m not a North Carolinian, but I sure wouldn’t want all that liberal scum in my state, no matter how much cash they spread around. The Dems should have their convention up in one of those pro-fag states of theirs.

I own a bar in Charlotte and I pray they move the Convention out of the Queen City.
I worry about the OWS crowd coming to town and destroying everything.

Besides that, they’ll have to rush plans for the convention, and it may not be very effective in convincing voters that obama is anything other than the worst President in our history, a muslim, a communist, a would-be dictator, and just plain Third-World trash!!!!

A little off topic and will probably get me zotted but Mrs p6 and I were getting a few things at a local home improvement store today.
After a bit of good natured bickering at the checkout the clerk asked some stupid question about how long we’d been married.
