RUSH: I'm gonna break this down in even more detail as the program unfolds. Lugar has issued a very lengthy and quite telling statement. Lugar is comparing his defeat to the end of reason, the end of the Republican Party, the end of compromise, the end of people working together. Lugar is saying that his defeat is a bad thing. It's gonna lead to partisanship and rancor.
It's gonna lead to the end. The Senate is gonna descend now. It's not gonna be nearly the august body it has been. Not because he's not there. He's not that kind of an ego guy. It's clear he's a moderate, establishment guy who doesn't want to argue with anybody about anything. He's not a conservative, and he's part of Republican establishment that thinks conservatives are the problem, not Democrats.
There's a headline from the Associated Press, dateline Washington. Kasie Hunt is the authoress. The headline says it all: "Primaries Reflect Conservative Enthusiasm for 2012." This was not what they were expecting to write today. I guarantee you. I think maybe down deep (in parts of their bodies and their minds that they seldom really tap into), they know. They know the country doesn't want any more of them. They know the country doesn't want any more of Obama.
But they've got the media on their side. They read the media every day; they watch television every day. They live in a world where an entirely fraudulent picture of this country is presented every day, and they end up believing it. So in part they are shocked and surprised. Richard Lugar has lived in the Washington suburbs since 1977, since he was elected to the Senate. He doesn't have a residence in Indiana.
That's what I call REAL inside the Beltway.
But even so -- even so, ladies and gentlemen -- we probably have to admit that Dick Lugar is more of an Indianan than Elizabeth Warren is an Indian, even though he's not got a residence there.

RUSH: So the big news yesterday was two things. The evidence that the Tea Party is alive and kicking and ready to make 2012 look just like 2010. Because that's what yesterday was. Yesterday was the continuation of the 2010 midterm elections. The Democrats in some places, Democrat voters, launched a war on Obama. The Democrats did not turn out in Wisconsin, despite millions of dollars spent by unions.
Republicans turned out in greater numbers to vote for Scott Walker when they didn't need to. He wasn't challenged. There was no reason for Republicans to show up whatsoever. Why did they, then? Why did more people vote for Scott Walker yesterday in Wisconsin than the two Democrats (who are in a very heated contest) combined? The answer is simple: Republicans are waiting to be unleashed! Conservatives, more specifically, are fed up. Conservatives are fit to be tied.
They're angry as how they're being portrayed in the media. They're angry at how Obama's being propped up. They're angry at the lack of truth being reported about their country. They can't wait to show up and show the rest of the country what's really going on. They can't wait to prove who they are and who this country is. That's why Republican turnout's through it roof. That's why conservative turnout is through the roof.
People love their country, and this is how they show it. This is how they answer all the lies, the misrepresentations, all of the faux journalism that's taking place. "Okay, you want some reality? Here's an election. Take this!"

What took place yesterday in IN when Richard Lugar was voted out sent a message that folks are done with politics as usual.

Find a way to replace Romney with someone who ISNT a socialist.

More importantly, this process of taking back our country, to undo the damage from a century of slow-wratcheting ever-leftward erosion of our Republic, is going to take a LONG time. And several election cycles so that TEA party Americans can continue to grow in strength.

Afraid that Mitt is not the right choice? Suck it up, ace - he is the only choice. Remember that it is the entire government that needs fixing; Romney will be receptive to the growing Constitutionalists that are the only group that can really work from within the govt to change it. Like I said above, it will take several cycles of 2010-like Conservative gains - likely not as dramatic, but steady nonetheless - before the vermin dhimmicrats and the “dhimmi-lite” establishment rinos are rendered powerless.

There's no way the country can be turned around if conservatives and RINOs remain in the same party, because when push comes to shove, RINOs' whole political identity centers around being able to "work with" Democrats. Given a choice between destroying leftism or destroying the country, many RINOs would rather do the latter than the former.

So you see, 2012 really is the bellweather election of our lives. But it won’t be the only one; just a start to taking back the Republic from which the dhimmis and the usurper have brought so close to destroying.
But i might be wrong; after 2008 I really thought it was going to get bloody before it got better. then the Tea party comes along, 2010 midterms - and it’s a start. Now Rino lugar is getting bounced and with good reason; and the votes in wisconsin give me hope that Conservatives - who didn’t even have to show up for the primary since Walker was running unopposed - still did, and outvoted the dhimmis who have just forced that state to spend 16 million on the recall. And that gives me hope that real Americans - the ones that want to stop this leftist tyranny, to get the government back under control, will come out to the vote this November. And that means that true Constitutionalists, true conservatives, will increase their numbers in Congress.
And I believe that the conservative core in Congress can control a leftward leaning guy like Romney. and THAT’s a better proposition than leaving the usurper in place, which is what will happen if other citizens do like you and not vote.
So we disagree on certain things; fine. opinions are like assholes after all, everyone’s got one.

agreed. Loved that our crowd came out for Walker and outnumbered the dhimmi voters.
Hopefully the trend will hold true in November and not just in Wisconsin, but across the whole land.
My fear now is voter fraud - I read an article on accuracy in media, about how the ACORN criminals have merely organized into different organizations and are still involved in registration and the voting process. Truly scary, if not for the thing that I’m certain it will happen, but that so far our response in previous voter fraud events has been pitiful.

Those numbers don’t add up—there won’t be enough conservatives running to land 40 conservatives in the Senate. But I would expect the conservatives not to be the 100% bloody sycophants the were during the Bush administration. Conservatives in Congress will need to oppose Romney when he plays Obama lite. Loudly and hopefully effectively.
The result of that opposition will be that Romney will construct coalitions of Dems and enough R’s to pass a fair amount of progressive nonsense. And there will be plenty of R’s to join them.
The pressure on conservative congressmen and senators will be overwhelming to join in. It will take a very disciplined conservative caucus to be an effective opposition voice to Romney over the next four years. It’s hard to oppose your own president. The only way they stay the course is if they get a LOT of pressure from their constituents.
The press will, of course, blame Republicans in general and conservatives in particular for the damage the coming progressive administration causes.
A Romney administration will be less damaging than an Obama administration. But either is going to preside over one of the most difficult four years in modern history. Both will continue policies (spending, deficits, money printing) that are making the economic problems worse. Yet those policies are reaching the end of their effectiveness—we are seeing the progressive end-game. The gvt cannot keep kicking the bubble down the road much longer. I believe it bursts sometime before 2016. It’s important we put down bold and loud opposition markers the public knows about to have the credibility to pick up the pieces when things come apart.
Adding on to my previous reply: Even if every credible conservative in races we might win takes a victory next November, conservatives are still the opposition because there won’t be enough in congress to control the agenda, regardless who is president. The administration will not be conservative, in either event. So even if the R’s take the house, the senate, and the presidency, conservatives are still the opposition party.
If our conservative representatives do not vote that way loudly—as the opposition—then the Republican party probably will go the way of the Whigs (and deservedly so).
