When the NOW hags first started making noise in the late sixties, I was struck by the amount of hatred and vitriol not only towards men but also towards their own country. After reading bios of some of the more prominent leaders of the radical feminists (most of them), I was again interested to discover that many of them came from privileged families but spouted Marxist dogma.
My conclusion was that most of them were very unhappy persons by nature. Think Andrea Dworkin. We have a NOW person who writes a lot of letters to our local lib rag. I knew a co-worker who was a high school classmate of this woman. He said she was always angry and unsmiling. She gets her photo in the paper occasionally, and it's a picture of a very angry looking person. Angry people make up a lot of NOW. Bitter people who will never be happy under any circumstances.
The militant Feminist is an excellent "Exhibit A" in support of my point.
