Walker easily wins GOP primary in Wisconsin recall
By SCOTT BAUER | Associated Press 8 hrs ago
MADISON, Wis. (AP) Whichever Democrat wins Tuesday's recall primary in Wisconsin will have only a short four weeks to make the closing argument that Republican Gov. Scott Walker should be booted from office after 16 contentious months on the job.
For Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, one of four Democrats in the running, a victory would set up a June 5 rematch of the 2010 race that Walker won by 5 percentage points. Walker easily defeated token opposition in the GOP primary Tuesday.

I don’t understand, why is there a GOP primary in a recall attempt of a sitting Republican Governor?
Because THAT’S the language/thought process that the enemy loves ... just convoluted enough to speak power to truth ... or something like that.
This is not over. The unions will pull out all of the stops to win this one in June. They must do so or commit suicide. The unions must get back the power to levy dues from wages. It is their be all and end all.
Were i was the WIS. AFP i’d apply for a gumbinment grant money and use it to hire an army of poll watchers and the best detective agency money can buy to scour the landscape for stuffed ballot boxes .....out of town thugs are on the loose....just sayin’
“I dont understand, why is there a GOP primary in a recall attempt of a sitting Republican Governor?”
Because there was a fake Republican running against Scott Walker. The RINO only got a little over 19,000 votes.
To Red Devil
“Because there was a fake Republican running against Scott Walker. The RINO only got a little over 19,000 votes.”
You might want to revise that read “The RINO only got 19,000 union votes”.
The union is missing an employment opportunity. Hiring thugs to make state workers pay their dues.
Now they just need a loophole to make the state pay their wages.
Weren’t there 5 or so candidates on the Democrat primary ballot? What was the total of all of the Democrat votes?
Barrett's win was a defeat for the unionist forces. Falk was their preferred candidate. The candidate, Barrett, who tried the most to avoid being linked to unionist policies won. That does not bode well for outside influences on the Dem side, as Falk got a lot of out of state union money.
Yep... million$ pissed down the rathole! HA!!!
My understanding is that Scott's total votes was GREATER THAN all the 'dems PLUS his "republican" challenger COMBINED.
Dear Wisconsin Voters,
Do you want all of the state of Wisconsin to look like and be run like Milwaukee?
Vote wisely.
Ooops, let me re-state my claim in a “face-saving” way...
Scott got MORE votes that the top two ‘rat challengers COMBINED.
I based my quick comment on what I saw last eve with 30% of the precincts counted. Now with 100%, the statement to be correct needed some modification.
OK, I’m from Missouri but we were in Wisconsin on SAT/SUN last and happened to see Barrett and Falk attack ads. Based on what I saw there, and subsequently read here, I have a question: Was it Falk’s ads that contained the plethora of Union acronyms presented as a scroll across the ad? I wasn’t sure. I’m gratified to learn that Barrett won in that case.
Also, in driving around the Muskego/New Berlin areas, my informal count on yard signs was probably 25:1 in support of Walker. I have no idea if this is typical statewide. Its likely the inverse in Milwaukee and the People’s Republic of Madison.
If I add all of the votes for the Democrat candidates on the ballot, I come up with 596,089 vs 584,929 for Scott Walker.
Much too close when comparing voter turnouts. Republicans had better get their butts to the polls when the election happens. Taking Walker out would be a serious blow to reform as it might scare candidates that had serious intentions of reducing our government.
For some reason only 94 % of the precincts are reporting. I wonder what’s up with that? Last updated 9 hours ago?
