Tea Party Party has toughened up. They (we) were shocked and awed by the virulient attack from media, race baiters and Dems accusing them of racisim, anti-americanism, hate for poor, immigrants (anyone who counts) etc.

But they high tailed it into the high grass, behind trees and hills, like Mel Gibson’s patriots, to apply more surgical strikes, especially to build grassroots support for TP thinkers to take on incumbent RINOs and demon rats.

The “Tea Party” is made up of very loosely affiliated groups and even individuals who share similar but not homogenous views on small government and liberty. On November 1, 1896, immediately before the election of 1896 (McKinley v. Bryan) there was a demonstration in Worcester, MA calling for "Sound Money." It was the Tea Party Rally of its time. My family was from Worcester, MA, and my Great-grandfather, one of the ~40 named clergy in the article who participated.

It was a precursor of sorts to the Tea Party rallies of today, and at a very critical time in the history of the US. Remember "Free Silver"

Like our 9-12 Rally, these "Sound Money" demonstrations happened in many cities on that day -- all up and down the East Coast in fact.

Imagine if we could focus our efforts this year with a similar rally before this 2012 election just like the 9-12 Rally in 2009!
