The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows Mitt Romney earning 47% of the vote and President Obama attracting 45% support.
Three percent (3%) would vote for a third party candidate, while four percent (4%) are undecided.
The candidates have been within two points of each other for ten of the last 11 days. During that time, Obama has had a slight advantage on six days, Romney on five.
All signs indicate that the race for the White House is a pure toss-up with six months to go. See tracking history. The candidates are just three points apart in the Core Four states of Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia.

One reason it’s a toss-up is that both candidates are repulsive. It’s 6 of one, half-dozen of the other.
Our nation hangs in the balance, and we’re counting on a radical liberal pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, anti-gun, big government social corporatist to pull it out of its tail spin.
Just thinking about all of this makes me sick over what we’ve come to.
And all the media rinos are pretending that it really is a no-brainer choice.
I’m betting I could search free republic and find quotes for 90%+ of all freepers who have bashed Romney at some point(s) or other as a liberal wasteland.
” Our nation hangs in the balance, and were counting on a radical liberal pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, anti-gun, big government social corporatist to pull it out of its tail spin. “
I expect Romney to win, but I also expect trouble to blossom thereafter with the GOPE moving the Republican Party to the Left, by passing under Romney what they claim to deplore and stopped cold under Obama. These guys are players.
The Romney Record is loaded with everything Obama pulled, only Romney pulled it off first! Grant it, the worst of it is in the Supreme Court today, but Romney is a self professed PROGRESSIVE and has a record to prove it, with a boat load of the same crap that the GOPE will pass. They have to. They are his kingmakers after all.
eh...no se..
Conservatives need to concentrate their attention on the down-ballot races. Indiana has a big U.S. Senate primary tomorrow and I worked for the conservative upstart this year. I passed out Mourdock for Senate yard signs and have one in my own front yard. Look for it to pay off.
I agree with you and others that Romney is a completely uninspiring candidate. I’m not supporting him in the primary. In the general, I expect to hold my nose and do my duty as I see it.
Same here, although I don't know how I'll be able to pull the lever for Romney in November without throwing up on my ballot. Thing is, the Kenyan Marxist must be thrown the hell out of office by whatever means necessary.
Man this election year sucks.
Hey! What’s up? Haven’t seen you around!
Take away the 3% third party and the whatever it was undecideds, does this poll translate to 51/47, Romney’s favor?

The fact the two are tied, before the GOP has even settled upon a candidate is remarkable.
If the GOP can unite behind a candidate, we’re going to win this time.
It may be time, for so many, to stop paying so much, attention to pointing out Romney’s imperfections. Over and over, it’s becoming monotonous.
Romney may not hold strong conservative beliefs. Or he may indeed, and may have been hiding them while governor of MA, simply because so many of the state’s voters, are party-line democrats. Either way, at worst Romney is somewhat squishy. At best, he has insulated himself quite effectively, to being easily typecast by the lackey Obama media.
By contrast there’s no question Obama *does* hold strong communist beliefs. Surrounds himself with committed communists - and is beholden to America’s adversaries.
None of which. NONE. Apply to Mitt Romney.
Focus people. Please.
The election is just 180 days away.
