That is “traditional Chinese medicine” for you. Quackery based upon sympathetic magic usually involving the wanton killing of innocents or endangered species. I don't want to have to explain to my daughter one day that there are no more Tigers or Rhinos in the wild because Chinese men couldn't maintain an erection. And a big laugh to anyone who thinks getting poked with needles is some sort of magical cure-all. As if the medieval Chinese knew f*ckall about anything.

This is the lowest, foulest and most obscene lie about Traditional Chinese Medicine I've ever read, anywhere. To compare this vileness with TCM is like comparing Dr. Mengele's tortures at Auchwitz to Western Medicine.

But you do show how utterly corrupt, mostly useless and incredibly harmful Western Medicine has become (except for it's trauma care and surgery), when it has to resort to such incredibly shameful and ignorant slander. Maybe if it got back to its roots and started actually helping people, instead of prostituting itself as a mere front for pharmaceutical companies, millions of people wouldn't be leaving it in disgust, and it wouldn't have to hire shameless, conscienceless shills like you to spew lies for it.

I have to object to the comparison. I think we can all agree that the Chinese have nowhere near the respect for the individual that we do in the U.S. Consider only for starters what follows from that — the infamous “one child” policy, forced abortions, organ transplant horrors, etc.

If a second child is so dangerous and so useless that it must be killed, why is it a stretch to think that they consider the corpse to be just another raw ingredient?

BTW, what was the lie and libel in that post? I am in full agreement that TCM is mumbo jumbo, that it is a menace to any number of specie of animals, particularly ones already endangered, and that acupuncture, the most accepted form of Chinese “medicine” in the U.S., is still quackery.

If you think Western medicine is mostly useless and incredibly harmful you might want to explain how increased longevity and better health outcomes is both useless and harmful.

Do you want medicine based upon known molecular interactions and proven efficacy - or would you prefer sympathetic magic that if you eat a tiger's testicles you get the sexual power of the tiger?

If you have no understanding of how things actually work - it is easy to assume it is all magical.

Primitive and superstitious thinking produces primitive superstitious medicine for primitive superstitious people.

Hey allmendream, what is the medico-prostitutional complex paying you to shill for them? Can I get in on the racket?
