Whose navy?! The article doesn’t say. Next it will be the USS Mao and the USS Lenin. Disgusting.
Is this satire?

Yeah, I know the USS used to stand for United States Ship. Barbara Boxer is a moron for being happy about this.

I was always under the impression that Naval vessels were named for people who were either in the armed services or had been commander in chief.Cesar Chavez has been neither. Also, where are we getting all these ships? This is the second time I've heard of liberals attempting to name a vessel after one of their icons, the first being
Harvey Milk.
Personally, if this keeps up, I think we should go to non-personal names

USS Karl Marx right around the corner.
Remember, the commies in DC aren't the problem, they are a symptom of the disease called Universal Suffrage.
A disease that doesn't get cured electorally.

Later, Chavez described his experience in the military as “the two worst years of my life.”
In all fairness, while the left always tried to glom on to Chavez, he kept his focus, that being that farm workers were treated like dogs, frequently cheated, and forced to work in crippling (literally) jobs at reduced pay, even though they were American citizens. Their lives sucked, and nobody cared.
A lot of what his organization did was to try and force farmers to obey US labor laws, which they often ignored, to pay at least minimum wage, which they often didn’t, ended wage kickbacks from workers compelled to live in shacks and having to pay hefty rents, etc.
What made the Mexican-Americans so attractive politically back then still applies today. They are not a monolithic vote, so both parties have to contend for them. The Republicans were somewhat behind the power curve on that, and are still trying to catch up.

If you listen to the ad that the Selective Service has produced for radio to encourage 18 YO’s to register for the Selective Service, the ad refers to Cesar Chavez as a GREAT American.
This POS is disgusting . . .

It will probably wind up hauling foreign grown lettuce to the United States.

Absolutely disgusting. He was in the Navy for two years and said they were the worst two years of his life. I imagine even he would be disgusted.
