I have a degree. I am a biochemist. Jobwise, I am a writer (part time) and a bloody good cabinetmaker (full time). That is cabinetmaker in terms of making custom furniture, not fitting MDF or plywood kitchens.
You never know where a degree will get you ....
Then you have a patience and and an eye for quality.
My 'woodworking' involves a circular saw and nails.
