UN's correspondent on indigenous peoples urges government to act to combat 'racial discrimination' felt by Native Americans
A United Nations investigator probing discrimination against Native Americans has called on the US government to return some of the land stolen from Indian tribes as a step toward combatting continuing and systemic racial discrimination.
James Anaya, the UN special rapporteur on the rights of indigenous peoples, said no member of the US Congress would meet him as he investigated the part played by the government in the considerable difficulties faced by Indian tribes.
Anaya said that in nearly two weeks of visiting Indian reservations, indigenous communities in Alaska and Hawaii, and Native Americans now living in cities, he encountered people who suffered a history of dispossession of their lands and resources, the breakdown of their societies and "numerous instances of outright brutality, all grounded on racial discrimination".

“How many conquests does the UN want to unroll? It goes back to the beginning of time.”
Exactly. The UN is a waste of time but a great target.

>And some actually WANT to legalize drugs....
Well, to be honest the reason I’m against the current drug laws is that they are illegitimate: the 18th amendment proves that to do the sort of regulation/prohibition that they currently impose requires a Constitutional amendment.
The reason that I’m against the War on Drugs (WoD) is that the enforcement has given rise to horribly contra-constitutional practices: no-knock raids, property confiscation (prior to conviction), and so forth. Furthermore, the WoD reallocates prosecution from actual (though ‘tougher’ [to convict]) crimes like corruption to these ‘easier’ crimes.
What about Mexico and all the Central and South America Nations?

Give Israel back to the Israelis!
Give Iran back to the Persians!
Give France back to the Franks!
Jerks like this are the reason I paint blue helmets on my silhouette targets.
Oh man, where do you sign up for this kind of cheese. My cats love it.
Elizabeth (Paleface) Warren in MA got a heads up before this was released so she could stake her claim to the spoils....
The UN should turn the land its buildings occupy back to the city of New York, and get the hell out of the USA.
If you’re a half breed do you have to pay reparations to yourself???
And while we're at it, the Norwegians, Swedes and Finns should vacate the northern halves of their respective countries and allow the Saami to reign supreme in an independent Republic of Lapland.
Moreover, the Bantu tribes of southern Africa all should move back north of the Kongo River and allow the Pygmies total sovereignty over the southern 1/3 of the African continent -- while the Han Chinese need to vacate Sinkiang, Tibet, Inner Mongolia and Taiwan, in favor of the aborigines and other non-Chinese native peoples.
Once all the above has been accomplished, we can entertain a bid for Arizona and New Mexico by the Navajo and Hopi.
***We do not give losers back their lost land.****
we gave back Iwo Jima to the Japanese which still p!$$es me off to no end.
***On the other hand the USA had the Trail of Tears (but longer ago).****
The richer Cherokees went by ship and steamboat to Oklahoma. The poor ones who wanted a better deal from the Jackson admin had to hoof it later on the Trail of Tears.
Then a wave of murder and revenge swept the Oklahoma Cherokees for what some saw as a sellout in the East.
This split lasted up through the Civil War as some Cherokees sided with the North and many more with the South.
