It is typical of mid 20th century views of Native Americans, and is sometimes considered racist and demeaning from a contemporary perspective, although others see it as a mildly satirical attack on racial stereoyping. Native Americans did protest outside the New York Theatre, as well as the film theaters, too, holding picket signs stating: "Don't See "Annie Get your Gun"". As a result of this reaction, many contemporary productions have omitted the song from their revivals, and the protests stopped.
In 1979, the song was remixed and released as a dance track by disco artist Don Armando.
Other singers to have recorded the song include Judy Garland.

African-American, Hispanic-American, Asian-American blah, blah, everyone of the hyphen happy lessor-Americans completely missed the point of being an American and do not deserve the benefits this country use to offer. Thanks to progressives the opportunities and benefits are in a steep decline.

Native Americans have many different lineages in them, there is asian/poynesian/african and even european genes at play.
To attribute one genetic trait with all Native Americans is like saying all people from Africa are “Black”. Africa actually has 6-7 distict racial phenotypes with about 1/2 of them being dark skinned, 1/4 of them being medium dark skinned and the rest being lighter shades of brown.
