PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Obama administration is buying into an ambitious health care initiative in Oregon, announcing Thursday that it's tentatively agreed to chip in $1.9 billion over five years to help get the program off the ground.
Oregon hopes to prove that states can save billions on Medicaid without sacrificing the quality of health care. Democratic Gov. John Kitzhaber's plan would invest in preventive care to keep patients healthy so they don't need expensive hospitalizations.

Would anyone like to make a bet on how this pipe dream will turn out? One thing is certain. The taxpayer money will disappear without a trace....gobbled up by fraudulent doctors, government hacks and Democrat politicians’ campaigns.
So they keep you alive longer just so the expensive hospitalizations are a little further down the road...sounds great!!!
Of course they’re going to just let you die when its time for the hospitalization...shocked that part is never mentioned.

Once upon a time there was a thing called CONGRESS. One of the functions of this CONGRESS was to decide where tax money gets spent. Apparently this function is now handled by the President from a gigantic slush fund that is used mostly to buy votes in election years.
This is what came up in the 80s where, if you notice, is when most insurance had to start covering routine checkups under this theory.
This is exactly what drives up the price of insurance. Sort of like adding oil changes and fuel fill ups to your auto insurance.
It’s not just the cost of claims, either. It’s the added personnel to deal w/all of the additional claims.
Cronyism? Oregon for Obama? Other states that have similar plans are not getting this boost....why not? What did Congress have to say about this...if anything....

Ummm... Exactly. That was my thought as well. Like the 1.5 billion “quietly” redirected to the Muslim Brotherhood. ON WHAT AUTHORITY?!?!

One of the most fundamental breaks of USG was allowing DC to take money the states own. Contrary to opinion and USSC decision, the Corporate Income Tax of 1909(?) was carefully morphed into a Federal Individual Income Tax in WWII, using the War Powers Act and the USC which allows for two year war time special USG power. The Individual portion legally died, since it wasn’t re-instated or made into (lawful)_law_.
Direct taxation is a state right, not a Federal. The money USG is bribing Oregon with is their own. Criminal governments lose their lawful authority.

Oregon has had a health plan for a couple decades. In fact some illegal aliens lived across the street and even got their kids ears pierced and paid for by OHP.
Socialist Oregon and Obama...what a combination! The state is BROKE, the FED is BROKE, so let’s do this nonsense some more!
