In the picture those feedhorns in the back of the unit are active as well. It gets 5 out of 5 stars from me. If a cop turns on his system for a split second within a half-mile it talks to you and provides exactly what was detected.

The closer you get the system ramps up the warning as long as it is present. If the warning fades so does the warning. Very well designed little receiver.

And too am sorry to be slow getting back to you. I have been on the road for a few days away to see the grands.

I really dont need a detector because I usually set the cruise on about 3 over the limit and they never bother me at that speed. But I did get caught by a small town trap last year where my cruise was set, but I failed to see a speed reduction sign when I came past the skirts of a small town. Oops.
