the 'New York girlfriend' was actually a composite character, based off of multiple girlfriends he had both in New York City and in Chicago

She was lovely with her one breast larger than the other but her long leg and short leg were slightly offputting. However the glasses she did and did not wear went perfectly with her blond, brown, short, long, red hair. And her beautiful lips could barely conceal her under/overbite and her perfect, slightly, crooked teeth.

Years ago there was a writer for a local newspaper who (IIRC) made up composite characters. None existed in any form. That writer was fired, IIRC.

Imho, any "composite character" is likely the same thing, and in this case, I doubt any "girlfriend" ever existed.
