The U.S. Department of Labor has determined that all manufacturing employees laid off from SolarWorld Industries America Inc. as a result of the company's shutdown of its solar module production plant in Camarillo, Calif., in September are eligible for federal trade-adjustment assistance, including grants for education to retrain them for new work.

Workers from the future of America's energy independence and our coming green economy - which President Obozo has promised us will create millions of well-paying jobs - are being given monetary assistance for work retraining so that they can acquire skills they can actually put to use in the workplace.

but ... but ... but ... the solar industry is the future! Obama's policies are primed to create a bazillion new "green" jobs if we are just a little more patient. Why in the world would these workers, already trained in the most exciting field imaginable, want to seek employment elsewhere???
