Mormon Bishop Mitt Romney’s Anti-Christian Religion

Many naive Americans believe that Mormonism is merely another branch of protestant Christianity. Well that’s not what the founders and leaders of Mormonism believed.

According to its founder, Joseph Smith, and Brigham Young, Smith’s successor, Mormons are the only true people of God on the earth. All non-Mormons and their religions are “wrong, an abomination, blind, damned, of the devil, whores, not Christians, groveling in darkness, heathens, ignorant, devoid of fact, pagan and hatched in Hell.”

When Romney made a speech about his religion in 2008 he refused to distance himself from his faith and fully affirmed his Mormonism. Responding to critics, Romney said,

"They would prefer it if I would simply distance myself from my religion, say that it is more a tradition than my personal conviction, or disavow one or another of its precepts. That I will not do. I believe in my Mormon faith and I endeavor to live by it. My faith is the faith of my fathers - I will be true to them and to my beliefs."

Romney, the father of homosexual marriage in America and abortion funding Romney Care in Massachusetts, flip-flops on virtually every issue, but he is adamant about his anti-Christian Mormonism. Romney needs the vote of Christians to win election, but he refuses to “disavow one or another of its precepts.”

Nor can anyone think Romney is merely a casual or cultural Mormon who just happened to be born Mormon. He is an active Bishop in the Mormon church hierarchy. He cannot pretend to be ignorant of the teaching of Joseph Smith and the other “prophets” of Mormonism.

Below is a list of quotes from Mormon leaders and official publications starting with Joseph Smith down to our day. The message is consistent and clear.

I want Obama out as well. That doesn’t mean Romney is any better - he is not. This was our election to lose and what does the GOP do? Give us someone worse than the LAST election.

The DEMS will DESTROY Romney if he gets the nomination. The solution is to stand up, not roll over, make sure Romney doesn’t get the required delegates and have a war on the floor. A contested convention, not Romney is our last hope to save this country.

I cannot, as a Christian, vote for either of them, that would be a betrayal of God and my faith.

Careful, betty, you are bringing actual experiences you had while in Mass...things you saw, heard and experienced with Romney as Governor vs the DNC machine that was there...into the discussion.

You probably have a lot more knowledge about how Romney governed than most here unless they too lived through it...perhaps like how he was really incapable of appointing conservative Judges since the DNC panel there had all the power.

You are probably aware of his attempts to veto things he is accused of “allowing” because the overwhelming DNC legislature over-rode any attmepts.

We both know that Romney was no real conservative in his governance of Mass...but he was better than the alternatives, and IMHO, he did modify and lessen what would have been even worse there. But that is my opinion...I wasn’t there.

You experienced it, so you know it better than others who prognosticate without having been there with you.

I believe you...and I know of your conservatism, and, despite our differences in some interpretations and doctrine, I know of your Christianity and love for and commitment to our Savior, Jesus Christ. After fourteen years of interaction with you, I can say I have experienced those things as we have conversed over the years. Thank you for sharing what you exprienced there while Romney was Governor.

We all wish a more conservative candidate was going to be our nomineee...but Romney is running on much diffent campaign promises now than what he did in Mass, and I believe he will keep those commitments if elected...particularly if we can pull together a majority House and Senate to lead the charge in legislation.

God bless you, sister in Christ, for your faith, for your patriotism and commmitment to our constitutional republic, for your honesty, and for the reasoned and manner in which you present it.

We can do all in our power to try and do what is right to the best of our ability in the defense of liberty and support of our constitution, which it truly an inspired document and heavenly banner...and do it all according to the dictates of our conscience...then we must stand an watch the arm of the Lord be revealed and accept His wisdom. He has the days numbered, and the hairs on each of our heads counted, and His Will shall lead to the best.

I pray, in Jesus name, that we as a people and a nation are once again extended His mercy, compassion and blessings of liberty and prosperity for our kids and grandkids sake. That they might enjoy what we have enjoyed, and even more according to His Will.

Individuals who call themselves Christian yet are personally unable to assimilate the Gospel settle for religious bigotry.

- - - - -
You mean Mormons? Now you are getting it.

You have shown your bigotry by claiming that those who speak for the truth are the bigots, yet ignore the inherent bigotry that is the foundation of Mormonism.

ABSOLUTELY INDEED.

Though my step-dad say a sermon at a Mormon funeral was one of the best salvation through the Blood of Jesus sermons he’d ever heard. He was shocked and mystified.

I don’t consider reaganaut a bigot AT ALL for asserting that Mormonism is a cult. He’s merely making an accurate observation.

I have observed that all cults have at least one if not both of the following in common:

1. neutering, qualifying, dismissing, explaining away, watering down the Deity of Jesus The Christ; Son of Almighty God; etc.

2. Salvation by works.

Mormonism qualifies as a cult on both counts.

I don’t see a yawning chasm between them because there ISN”T one. Romney is just a better liar, and frankly he learned that from his church.

s, I voted for Romney for governor because I absolutely detest the left-progressive “machine” that has run this state for decades, hoping for an improvement over the status quo. On that basis, he was no “liberal” in my view then.

As to your second point, it strikes me as pure bigotry.

- - - - -
yet he ran MASS as being a liberal.

My second statement isn’t bigotry, it is fact and stems from YEARS of experience. I used to be Mormon, a true believing temple (elite) Mormon just like Mitt and Ann Romney. My experience has taught me to not trust Mormons, especially Mormon royalty like Mitt, to tell the truth to ‘gentiles’ (all non Mormons - even Jews). They lie to their own members, of course they lie to lowly ‘gentiles’ (a derrogetory term for non Mormons). You can think I should be ashamed of myself, but I lived Mormonism and lived it well. I speak from experience.

Are you or have you ever been LDS? If so, then your statement is understandable, if incorrect. If not, then don’t make assumptions about them based upon PR or a few casual acquaintances. Reality in Mormonism is vastly different (and much more liberal) than their PR machine puts forth.

If you are a Christian then why attack another Christian in defense of a Anti-Christian cult.

and agree with the sin of likes of the Willard Mitt Romney ???

abortion
same sex marriage

Those things are not Christian

- - - - - -
2 John 1:10-11 says “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work. “

Voting for Romney is supporting abortion and same sex marriage, both unbiblical things, and sharing in his wicked work. It is also supporting his false gospel and false Christ because they are wishing him ‘Godspeed’.

I don’t need the prayers of non-Christians. No need to weep, I am saved by Grace and a child of the Most High God.

My husband loved me enough to tell me the truth, Praise God for him and his boldness.

Always the ultimate comeback, “I know the Bible and you don’t,” at which point I’m done with you AND I’m pretty sure you don’t have a clue what
Is in the Word. Have a nice four years of Obama. You clearly deserve a Muslim preezy.

...the holier-than-thou crowd who have complaints about Romney would just as easily have us exclude Quakers, Unitarians, Free-will Baptists, Pentecostals, Word of Faith, and ultimately any group that doesn't conform to the specific complaintant's viewpoints.

May I suggest you "can" this self-refuting argument?

Here's why...

First of all, anytime you come with the phrase "holier-than-thou" as an accusation of others, usually means you've assumed some sort of "Mt. Sinai" type of moral posture yourself...(site of 10 commandments issued)

So once you start frowningly looking down upon others as "holier-than-thou," 'tis obvious then you see yourself as holier-than-thou of those you make the accusation...

Then once I point this out, somebody else can come along and say, "Colofornian, you see yourself then as 'holier-than-LS?"

And then yet another could come along to that accuser...the cycle never ends...

The bottom-line here is that a "holier-than-thou" accusation is usually the phrase issued by an out-and-out moral relativist who wants to cite a given moral code as originating in given personalities. They tend to NOT want to cite a given fixed moral code as the actual source or holiness and morality.

As for religious-based "complaints" attached to political candidates, so what?

I don't see you or Betty Boop patrolling all the thousands of "Barry is a closet Muslim" threads & comments that have been made for the last 4 years...Nor do I see you or Betty Boop doing the same for all the Rev. Wright threads & comments as well...

In 2008, did you go around defending Mike Huckabee given that he pastored a church before running? There were swipes toward him on that basis. Did you defend him? No?

Hmm...Seems you're both awfully selective in your defense of world religions and cults and even mainstream GoP candidates like Huckabee. Why?

If it really was a sort of "religious liberty" conviction you were operating out of, you would show your lectured hostility to those commenting upon Obama's religious ties. Even in your list of five groups, I don't see Obama's ties listed there (formerly United Church of Christ, alleged Islamic beginnings, etc.).

So you're AWOL there. Why?

If I had to guess the reason behind that, it'd be the usual reason...out and out religious hypocrisy.

People like to defend Romney's whacky cultic beliefs in this case only because it's politically expedient to do so. Otherwise, it seems as for the rest of those groups on your alleged radar screen, who cares for you?

You probably don't.

But prove me wrong. Show me ONE time where you've gone to bat for these groups on a thread other than in the context of defending Romney.

I, too, can actively campaign against both Romney and Obama.
I already have my Virgil Goode signs for my car. Here in Ohio, I hope to cover at a minimum my entire precinct, and hopefully I’ll be able to cover my entire rural county.

The Constitution Party candidate for Attorney General received 200,000+ votes in our last large election cycle.

I will not be surprised to see pro-life, Bible-Belt, rural southern Ohio turned on its ear in the next election. I can honestly envision a Constitution Party victory in a number of these counties when the immorality of both Obama and Romney is brought to their attention via church communication connections.

You do understand that it is the Biblical Jesus who says there is only one way, right?
mormonism has nothing to do with the Biblical Jesus.
