This exactly why we get in on the bottom and prevent people as this from getting onto the political stage. It starts here...local politics.
They need to take it one step further and get her out!
I certainly accept her freedom to reject this country, its founding principles, and all that it has historically stood for. She certainly should not pledge loyalty to a system she considers evil.
In that vein, I think her citizenship and voting rights should be revoked.

Me too.
It's Massachusetts and she's a barking moonbat.
Since it’s in Massachusetts,I can only assume it’s that she has a (D) next to her name....

I don’t say the pledge either. First, because I already have a religion. Second, because I don’t affirm things I know to be untrue. Third, because I’m a grownup and resent being bullied.
So SHE didn't want to recite the pledge, but she foisted her stupid dumb-@ass "poem" on everyone there, without even the courtesy of handing out barf-bags first.
“Third, because Im a grownup and resent being bullied.”
You poor man. You’re a victim. Your suffering must be tremendously hard.
I’m guessing this is her “message” in response to all the recent celebration that the War on Terror is “over”.
On our way to a scholastic competition this morning, my son and I stopped at a diner close to the hosting school. The parking lot was packed.
Upon entering, we found no fewer than 100 elderly gentlemen, the majority of whom were wearing verteran ballcaps, complete with pins, patches, and various unit insignia. Judging from their ages and hats, the vets spanned WWII to Vietnam era wars.
As the hostess seated us, she explained that they meet every 21 days for a group breakfast.
After breakfast they started their quasi-meeting with the pledge of allegience. Everyone in the diner stood with their hand over their hearts, including the vets, the restaurant staff, and all other patrons.
It was a great way to start the day. Exton, PA, 20 miles west of Valley Forge.
I couldn’t help but thinking - if only these citizens could determine the next election....
It occured to my son that the diner at that moment topped the list of Worst Places to Attempt a Robbery. (PA is a shall-issue CCW state)
If I may ask:
How does “One nation under God” offend your religion?
What is untrue?
Now, that’s the real question!
Today, May 1, is Loyalty Day, a “reaffirmation of loyalty to the United States and for the recognition of the heritage of American freedom.”
http://www.nationalwhateverday.com/2012/05/01/loyalty-day/
Now, that’s the real question!
The part about being one nation under God, for a start. We are not a "nation". The claim that we are one and indivisible is a political program, not a statement of fact. To call ourselves "under God" is to mock the Lord. Also, the part about "liberty 'n' justice for all". No serious person believes that.
Melissa is just another communist wanderer. They’re a dime a dozen.
