Actually, I see two. 1. Avoid areas where there could be potentially 100 young people walking on the sidewalk. 2. Don't let your pride overrule your common sense. Confronting 100 young people is not a good idea. Very poor odds.

Perhaps it's time for some decent people to get themselves properly equipped, head into that area, and teach "they" some manners. It's obvious that the entire law enforcement community has failed in their duty with regard to "they".

You pretty much posted exactly what I was going to write. When there's a crowd of 100 and things start to get ugly, who in their right mind gets out of the car? That's when you floor the gas pedal and get out of Dodge.

The article didn't mention anything about alcohol but I have to wonder if the guy who got out of the car had been drinking. To say he wasn't thinking right is putting it mildly.
