The libertarian, who is experiencing surge of support in delegates, made the statement after going head-to-head with Nobel Prize-winning economist -- and ideological opposite -- Paul Krugman in a debate about the U.S. economy.
"Depends on what his platform is going to be," he said in an interview with Bloomberg's "Street Smart." "If every single thing in the platform I disagree with, it's gonna be tough [to endorse him (Romney)] . If it's 100 percent opposite of everything I've said on civil liberties, on war issues, on spending cuts, on monetary policy, what could I do?"
He continued: "We have millions of people now supporting our campaign, and millions that haven't been heard of because they are independents and Democrats that aren't happy with Obama...

Paul got 1/4 of the caucus vote in North Dakota, behind Santorum's 40%.That was my neighbor's pot smoking kid.

From the folks I have talked with, it'd be a lot of farmers and ranchers who are tired of the government's nose everywhere, and quite a few young oilfield hands --who'd lose their job in a second over a dirty urine test.
Maybe there are a few dopers in the overall group, but I guess even dopers can figure out neither of the two candidates it looks like we'll get are going to fix anything.
Before you have an apoplexy, he wasn't my first pick, but I'd vote for Paul over Obama, and trust the hawks in Congress and the DOD to keep defense running.

I do agree with you. My reference to Margaret Sanger is because I think her philosophy is the deep dark worm in the hearts of those who talk pro-life and vote Culture of Death. I say ‘Margaret Sanger’ not in triumph but in glum diagnosis.
My tagline addresses the distinction between those two ungodly and inhumane candidates. Sorry for the confusion.

Haha! Paul hates Virgil Goode too. You Third Party trolls are geniuses.

I do not know who Virgil is, and really do not care who Paul likes or does not like.
And have no idea why you are so fixated on third parties, oh well whatever floats your boat.
Oh, yea trolls are little creatures that live under the bridge, pretty sure they don’t have internet access.

Oh, that’s right, you’re just here to attack the Mormon church to throw the election to Obama. I thought you were part of the worthless hacks pretending to be advocates of various pathetic Third Parties. My mistake. Go back to your obsession with Romney’s underwear.

I do not even care if Romney wears underwear but you sure do talk about it a lot.
This thread is about Ron Paul not Romney.
If you want to start a thread on mormonism you might want to try the religion forum.

Given the (non)choices remaining, I may end up voting for Ron Paul in the NJ primary. I only know one thing for sure—Obama and Romney will NEVER get a vote from me.

I only know one thing for sureObama and Romney will NEVER get a vote from me.Nor from me. as Jim Robinson says:
"Romney is an abortionist/homosexualist/statist. Always has been, always will be. And a liar to boot. He now claims hes always been pro-life, and ALL of his positions (quite frankly) have been conservative, and that his crowning achievement, RomneyCare, is a conservative free-market solution.
This means he believes that the positions he has long advocated for like abortion is conservative. That gay rights, global warming, gun control, liberal judges, TARP, bailouts, the takeover of GM, stimulus spending, never ending increases to the debt limit, compulsory health insurance, mandates against the people, tax penalties for non-compliance, forcing hospitals and Christian organizations to perform abortions, promote homosexualism, etc, all positions that hes advocated for and some of which he still advocates for today are conservative positions.
The man is a liar and or an idiot if he believes that his positions are conservative and always have been!! And hes stabbing us in the back every chance he gets!!"
Link
I would add only that those MittBots on FR are also "stabbing us in the back every chance they get! It will be interesting to see what Paul actually does or if he is just trying to sell Mitt his endorsement for concessions. I'm looking at Virgil Goode
I bet Mitt's money men are already knocking on Virgil's door with cash in their hot little hands trying to buy him. Selling endorsements to Mitt has become a very hot market in the past six months.
