I have to admit - I never heard the word ‘homosexual’ until I was about 11 or 12 years old. I’m 57. That kind of stuff was never discussed - especially in the presence of children - back then. It had never, ever occurred to me that two men or two women.......
Even at that age, I had a visceral feeling that it was sick and just not right!

BTW a good friend of mine is muslim...part of the old royal family from Afghanistan. He escaped during the Russian invasion but his father, a doctor and member of the royal court was killed along with several other family members.
He became a US citizen and evetually brought some his family here. They are all nice folk but somewhat shy. A while back his sister was diagnosed with colon cancer. Yesterday at the supermarket I ran into his wife and she told me sister has only a couple of weeks left...looks like bones covered with skin.
You would think her brother would be spending as much time with her and trying to comfort her but nope...he won’t look at her or go into her room.
I was surprised...he has never been like that before.
How sad.

Hi everyone, I wasnt on the thread this morning. Yesterday was a bad day. Really bad. On the way back from watching our son play a baseball game, my husband started complain of not feeling well. He had a tightness, pressure feeling in his left shoulder. Thank the Lord I was driving, on the Parkway, got him to Monroeville (praying for a Trooper to pull me over for help) but got him to ER. Tests inconclusive if another heart attack...a day full of tests today.
I pinged Salvation as last time my husband was in cardiac care (July of 2010) I believe the prayers and good thoughts sent our way, by what my call “mom’s imaginary FRiends online” helped so much.
