Pro-life advocates, pro-family organizations, and traditional Christians do not expect to get a fair shake in the media, but the dogged, seasoned journalists of the prestige publications have overlooked a disturbing new trend: an increasing number of left-wing activists claim that destroying or defacing other peoples property is part of their First Amendment free speech rights.
At LifeSiteNews.com, I have reported on the desecration of a pro-life display at Western Kentucky University. After a campus pro-life group got university permission to set up 3,700 crosses to represent the number of children aborted every day, a student named Elaina Smith placed condoms over each one. When a pro-life student confronted her, Smith complained, I think its kinda weird that youre allowed to express yourself, and Im not. Her art instructor, Kristina Arnold, gave her permission to deface the crosses as an art project, defended her actions, and may give her college credit for her act of vandalism.
Earlier this month at Northern Kentucky University, pro-life students hung up baby clothes and marked every fourth one with an X symbolizing that one of every four babies is aborted only to have their work destroyed. One of the left-wing students who dismantled it, Kyle Pickett, told the Kentucky Post, Tearing it down was expressing our right to free speech.
The actions follow another incident at NKU in 2006, when womens studies professor Sally Jacobsen was fired after she incited her students to tear down a pro-life display of crosses. In an Orwellian turn-of-phrase she admitted, I did
invite students to express their freedom-of-speech rights to destroy the display if they wished to. Her behavior was doubly acceptable, Jacobsen claimed, because her feelings were hurt. Any violence perpetrated against that silly display was minor compared to how I felt when I saw it,

The left seems to think Free Speech only applies when you are saying things they agree with. Vandalism and destruction is par for the course when they are behind it.
Since the perps have faces, can I destroy their faces in the name of my “freedom of speech”?
The true answer doesn’t matter, because if they try it with me, I’m going to go past trying it with them.
And when it finally erupts it will be bloody. Very bloody.
Pray.
Well thanks to both the communists hiding in the democrat and GOP parties and to Mubumble Odumbo the MAIN reason for our First Amendment right to Free Speech has been eliminated with a backdoor signing.
If the Secret Service is in the area, they are now the arbitrators about what is ALLOWED political speech. Citizens can be charged with a Felony if the SS (what appropriate initials) determines they do not like what you are saying. Again both wings of the Government Party have the blood of the founders on their hands over this travesty.
This is USSR and China, North Korea, Cuba crap. The founders would give us a swift kick in the butt for allowing this to stand.
Thanks to decades of deliberate brain washing in our useless public schools most Americans could not tell you that the main reason for Free Speech is POLITICAL speech and without so much as a whimper, the MSM has let this slide.
I would be willing to bet, if you could find an honest lawyer, (yeah difficult I know), to take this to the USSC, some how the black robed protectors of the ruling elite would find we had no standing.
Losing the main reason for Free Speech should have brought down upon the government the same vitriol as the left’s love of killing babies but no, not a peep.
I am disgusted.
I know that I have been taught to turn the other cheek and to never instigate a fight. But now it seems that this may be the time that some of these collage idiots learn that four knuckles to their nose may just rattle a few brain cells into working properly. I’m just saying those brain cells may start working. Oh, also I would say it is my way of interpreting my free speech and protecting it.
I sense an activist-Trayvon Martin incident one of these fine days.
