And this is a real problem, because?
No problem. Sounds delicious.
I think the crude oil that nuritious the bacteria must be a favorite meal for the shrimpy shrimp. And then the cannibal shrimp come along and feast on the delicious cousins. Then we come along and eat gulf shrimp the size of small lobsters.
We should be dumping more oil in the gulf. Apparently it produces better food for us and the shrimp. (liberal logic applied here).
This is a solution looking for a problem...
Still waiting for the invation of the Asian Tiger Lobsters!

Biodiversity, man!
In much the same way as it is preferable to water Kalifornia smelt rather than raise food crops — or better to preserve West Texas lizards rather than heat our homes and fuel our cars — why, it’s better to have scrawny plankton-sized native shrimp than to have big, tasty Asian shrimp. Biodiversity uber alles! ;-)
BP’s fault....and bush
Just gotta figure out how to catch the tiger shrimp.
