This is a conservative, activist site that cannot support a socialist. It goes against everything Free Republic stands for.
This was once a place where reasonable people, who agreed on perhaps 75 percent of the issues, could discuss their differences reasonably.
You and Jim have taken a stand, and good for you. The rest of us are not obligated to fall into line.
This is either a forum where free discussion is tolerated and encouraged, or it’s a cheerleading site for the conservative flavor of the month. You can choose one or the other, just be honest about what you are.
And that's why I find Free Republic so compelling and worthy of a donation. The boss has set clear and unambiguous standards that are core principles of Christian Constitutional Conservatism. I'm pleased to support America's premiere source for unbiased news and informed opinion.
Plus there are opportunities to engage in conversation with some of the kindest (and may I add, smartest) people on the planet. The ping lists are great too, especially for those of us who like cats! :-)

I think the concern is, that FR is supporting a socialist (Obama) by refusing to allow support for Romney.
You may not agree with the concern.
But, those who are supporting Romney because they think he is miles ahead of Obama are indeed getting the bum’s rush.
