It doesn't matter if its been going on for years...it isn't right or proper for so called disciplined folk to behave like animals with no control over themselves or their urges. I was once ostracized for weeks for calling it what it is. I dont and have never ascribed to the what goes on Det stays on Det. I am the same guy on Det that I am when I am home. I am not superhuman, I simply set priorities and activities that mirror my values. Discipline is more than an attribute used on the pistol range and other training events. Character counts and whether you or anyone else in this forum cares to admit it, this breech in discipline put our (man i hate saying this) president at risk.

I should add, of course, that the majority of our service members are honorable. Some guys, though, are weak when it comes to working girls when they are miles away from home and lonely. It's nothing new. This story has two elements. First and foremost is the lack of discipline and I'm not just talking about the behavior itself but the apparent absence of discretion. And then there is the total failure to deal with this at the lowest possible level. That this story went up the chain and exploded on the national headlines is nothing short of a complete embarrassment.
Deal with the behavior at the lowest possible level and keep this crap in-house. That should be the unspoken rule.
