PICO RIVERA, Calif. (KABC) -- A gang member was sentenced on Wednesday to 50 years to life in prison for murdering a woman who was trying to stop taggers.
In August 2007, 58-year-old Maria Hicks honked her horn and flashed her lights when she spotted a group spraying graffiti on a wall in Pico Rivera.
That's when Angel Rojas, now 21, shot three to five rounds at Hicks. She was struck once in the head and died three days later.

Angel Rojas, now 21...
...he was 16 in 2007...let’s run his second grade picture in the news to see how sweet he looks. /s.
No doubt - the press and the Sharpton/Farrakhan/Jackson freaks would scream about this innocent boy being “did wrong by ‘da man”...
I am personally offended he was ONLY sentenced to 50 years. There is a reasonable chance he will get out of prison one day. That woman he murdered doesn’t get that 2nd chance.
Blacks like them are so racist that they care nothing about latinos like these punks. In fact, they secretly hate them almost as much as they hate whites.
Mr. Rojas should be hung from the nearest tree and left to rot until his body is picked clean by the birds and a lot more gang bangers would think twice about randomly shooting at innocent people
I think taggers should be shot on sight as a matter of principle.
Works for me....
....make their prison homies clean up the blood....
“...they secretly hate them almost as much as they hate whites.”
The S/F/J’s of this world use Hispanics for political expediency; other blacks see them as more of a threat than whites, vying for the same jobs and opportunities.
Whatever happened to that speedy trial thing?
“Whatever happened to that speedy trial thing?”
For all we know, it is the defense that held up the trial for so long. Just because you have a right to a speedy trial, doesn’t mean that you have to abuse yourself of that right. You are free to stall by any legal methods possible, if that is what you think is in your best interests.
