Ya, suppose some idiot judge, a la Perez Hilton, asks her about abortion? What is she supposed to say? Isn’t the point to express your views on a subject if asked?
On the other hand, these pageants should say that certain subjects are off limits, if they want to NOT make controversial political statements.
But on yet another hand, if the goal is to embarrass these women, and make a liberal political statement, then we will see her villified at some point.

I was about to say I tended to doubt they would touch this issue with a ten foot poll, but we both know they love to put these women on the spot asking questions that after generations have not been solved, and in fact can't solved in one sound byte. They're gotcha questions, and the girls are there to be abused by some nit-wit celeb.
On the other hand, these pageants should say that certain subjects are off limits, if they want to NOT make controversial political statements.
But that's exactly what they want to do. They've been asking terrible questions, designed to advance the Leftist agenda. The girls are damned if they do and damned if they don't.
But on yet another hand, if the goal is to embarrass these women, and make a liberal political statement, then we will see her villified at some point.
Exactly! The Left has to game every issue in every arena. If they're going after our kindergartners, they're certainly going after young women.

(Okay, now lets see if the RNC, Rove, and Card can get him elected without their core base. Game on!)
