I just heard late afternoon on the Scott Schnitt Show (he follows Rush for three hours, WFLA radio) that another witness to the racial slur has come forward. This one, fortunately, is no relation to the victim.

A local Mobile newspaper reporter phoned this piece of news to Schnitt and he reported it live during the broadcast.

So now there are two witnesses who heard the hate-crime shout, the second one verifying the first.
