Muslims in Europe face discrimination in education, employment and religious freedom, an Amnesty International report said.
"Muslim women are being denied jobs and girls prevented from attending regular classes just because they wear traditional forms of dress, such as the headscarf. Men can be dismissed for wearing beards associated with Islam," said Marco Perolini, Amnesty International's expert on discrimination. "Rather than countering these prejudices, political parties and public officials are all too often pandering to them in their quest for votes."
The report, titled "Choice and Prejudice: Discrimination Against Muslims in Europe" and issued on Monday, details the problem, with a focus on Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland.
..The report said employers have been permitted "to discriminate on the grounds that religious or cultural symbols will jar with clients or colleagues or that a clash exists with a company's corporate image or its 'neutrality.' "Wearing religious and cultural symbols and dress is part of the right of freedom of expression. It is part of the right to freedom of religion or belief -- and these rights must be enjoyed by all faiths equally." Perolini said
..The right to establish places of worship "is being restricted in some European countries, despite state obligations to protect, respect and fulfill this right," Amnesty International said. For example, the Swiss Constitution "has specifically targeted Muslims with the prohibition of the construction of minarets," it said. Muslims in the Catalonian region of Spain must pray outdoors "because existing prayer rooms are too small to accommodate all the worshippers and requests to build mosques are being disputed as incompatible with the respect of Catalan traditions and culture."

As an European I would like to say that muslims refuse to integrate. muslims come in drove in Europe to claim benefits and have no wish to contribute to the economy.The one already settled in Europe don´t work, but steal and cry descrimination all day long.
muslims are making sure non-muslims leave cities by spitting at people, abusing young non-muslim girls, burning cars,forcing shops to stop selling non-halal meat, alcohol and pork.
muslims insist on wearing their religious attire even in countries were they know full well it is not allowed.
muslims in schools attack teachers who dare mention the shoah.
muslims attack Jews or the people they perceive as Jews without fear of being punished by liberal leaders.
muslims in mosques call Christians and Jews, sons of pigs and apes,no arrest ever made.
muslims during demonstrations call for the death of Israel and Jews, they are never arrested.
muslims during the ramadam spit on the streets and make sureit is at the feet of non-muslims.
Amnesty should stop being a bunch of morons.

I agree. Former FBI Agent Ali Soufan comes to mind. However the quran and it’s antithetical outlook with regard to anything and everything outside of it makes it an extremly problematical document, and hence an extemely problematical system of thought.
I think though that I should amend my earlier statement of “prejudice” to “antagonism with extreme prejudice”.
So Ammesty is upset that some muslim man might lose a job because of his beard but doesn’t seemed concerned that the same muslim man may beat his own daughter to death because she talked to a man he did not know or approve of......
What a bunch of hypocrites.......
