MSNBC hosts agreed this weekend that white voters hold President Obama to a higher standard than his white predecessors because he is black.
"[Obama] now has a specific record of governing," MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry said today on her show. "A record that, I contend, because of his race will be held to a much higher standard than it would have been for a white incumbent. Those white voters who found what they were looking for in 2008 will not necessarily be so enthusiastic in 2012."
Alex Wagner, host of MSNBC's NOW, agreed. "I think race absolutely has to do with the conversation about reelection," she said.

That headline makes me chuckle. When someone says something that is 360 degrees out of kilter with reality, it always makes me laugh.
I had never heard of her either but that’s probably because I don’t watch television or read People magazine. She’s a professor, looks black and probably is because her area of academic research is race and gender. BTW, she used to be Melissa Harris-Lacewell.
Interesting that she feels blacks are graded harshly. When she didn’t get the straight A’s she felt she deserved she probably thought she was discriminated against. LOL

Yes Obama had to overcome so many things in order to accomplish his goals.
He had to overcome a deficit of 160 billion, and he did with 1.7 trillion.
He had to overcome our allies and he alienated every one of them.
He had to overcome an unemployment under 5% and it is now north of 20%.
He has to overcome our churches and he is working on that.
He wants to overcome our high taxes with higher taxes.
He had to overcome our need for power generation by reducing our power generation.

Obama has earned an F-, and it doesn’t matter why people think he deserves it. What matters is that he doesn’t deserve anything else, and it is a waste of our time to expect different from him. Move onto the next person to grade.
You have to question the mental state of people who think conservative Republicans would vote for the most radical leftist ever elected to the presidency of the United States of America if he were white.
