An attorney for Trayvon Martin's family believes their son's shooter is lying about injuries he sustained the night he killed the unarmed 17-year-old.
"If this is any indication of what's to come, then the lying has already begun," attorney Ben Crump told reporters on Sunday, while promoting a documentary at the Florida Film Festival on another case.
Crump took aim at Zimmerman's defense after it seemed to gain momentum on Friday.
ABC News obtained a picture that appears to support Zimmerman's claim that Martin attacked him before he fired the shot in self-defense. The picture shows Zimmerman's bloody head wounds and was reportedly taken just after the confrontation.
However, Crump quickly discounted the image and anything else Zimmerman claims.
"When you look at those pictures and you see those two little cuts on his head, that is not consistent with your head being pounded into the pavement," said Crump. "Objective evidence, evidence we can see and touch, is more important than whatever George Zimmerman says because we have to remember Trayvon Martin isn't here to tell us his version of what happened."

“Where does Travons parents lawyer fit into the proceedings?”
Cha-ching for Crump.
Because some people think that cameras are an assault to their PRIVACY?
What HOA wants to deal with that?
But, this is the kind of thing that can happen in PUBLIC.
PUBLIC cameras would maybe have settled this already.
“I thought he was probably a white-guilt ridden, snivelly little liberal douchebag.”
They will show up in force later.
“Crump aint happy seeing his case and the $ he expected to make from it all falling apart.”
I was thinking of this, too.
Guess I’m just a Cracker, thinking like Cracker’s do - whatever thinking like a Cracker sounds like.
“Al Sharpton calls them the next Johnny Cochrans.”
For real? See my post further down this post.
Sometimes I’m a little psychic.
Sometimes it means I’ve seen this kind of crap too many times....enough times to recognize it when I see it - over and over and over.
Ayers WOULD probably be happy to comply.
Maybe got his little typewriter going now with sparks a blazing.
In other words, the fact that Zimmerman sustained injuries that back up his and witnesses' claims that Martin was indeed pounding his head into the pavement and struggling with Zimmerman over the gun are totally without proof in Crump's opinion.
