A friend of mine with law enforcement and military background spoke to me about the different levels of alertness. White is normal. Yellow is when you’re watchful because something might happen. Red is full-out combat. And black is total peace. We were discussing this in a Bible study so I asked him if the goal was black, total peace. He said the only time you hit black is if you and everything you thought worth fighting for is dead.
He said when you’re in the red zone, adrenaline sets in because you realize that only one side is going to come out alive - either you and all you love, or the enemy. With that knowledge and the adrenaline it brings you can do things not otherwise humanly possible, like lift a car by yourself.
At the time I was very depressed. My husband was mad at me for engaging in political stuff at all, and it was only when I explained to him that I was vacillating between red and black and that I was fighting in the political arena because if I didn’t I would go totally cold and black. At least if I was fighting I was still alive.
I’m not depressed like I was before. I am true RED. My kids’ future is worth fighting for. My faith and my freedom to practice it is worth fighting for. Lawful existence, where I can be friends with people regardless of what race either of us is.... is worth fighting for.
There are times I doubt whether we can ever go back to the America that existed before this full-on coup by this foreign enemy combatant in the White House and his puppet-masters, the communist-Islamist alliance. That is for God to decide; He knows when and how this world will end and it will be fine when it does. But in the meantime, love right here and right now is worth fighting for. It was worth my Savior dying the most cruel, humiliating death imagineable, and if He would give that for me and you, then how can I give less than my life for the same?
No matter how many people try to convince me it would be wiser to go black, I believe with all my heart that love is worth fighting for, here and now just as for eternity.
