First came the prayer, then the political rallies.
Then came the data mining and target marketing.
The venues for a series of recent Christian political rallies couldn't have been more different one night at the Marks Street Senior Center in downtown Orlando; the next at McKenna's Place, an Irish pub in Greenacres; the next at Calvary Chapel, a megachurch based in Fort Lauderdale but the purpose was the same:
Enlisting Florida Christians in a high-tech outreach program by identifying and signing up tens of thousands of area Christians who aren't registered to vote so they can cast ballots this fall and beat President Barack Obama in November.

Outstanding!
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!
Beating the commie libs at their own game. Outstanding!
Amen. Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition. I won’t go down without a fight.
Dear Reader wasn’t so smart to come out and punch the Christians (inclusive of Catholics) in the nose, right before the election.
Great news!
Registering new voters is a marvelous idea but so is changing party registration from Democrat to Republican or Independent.
Vote D’s out from the local on up. If they don’t get in locally, it is more difficult to get on the ballot later.
This is actually a pro-Romney effort, being titled an anti-obama effort. I believe this is the effort that glenn beck talked about a few weeks, getting Christian Conservatives involved, again supporting romney. I wouldn’t be surprised if Romney’s money is involved. If you read the article, this is a new organization with what looks like a pretty heavy endowment. Once again, the christians get played and taken for a ride..
From the article:
“Enlisting Florida Christians in a high-tech outreach program by identifying and signing up tens of thousands of area Christians who aren’t registered to vote so they can cast ballots this fall and beat President Barack Obama in November.
Late last month, Florida Family Action launched its eight-stop “Ignite to Action Tour” to recruit volunteers. They’re being given the data-mined names and assigned to contact them through phone banks, neighborhood canvassing, church events and other meetings, to get them registered.
Ignite to Action is opening seven field offices, in Orange, Escambia, Broward, Palm Beach and Hillsborough counties, in the next month. A typical office will have 30 computerized workstations to connect volunteer callers with their targets telemarketing-style, so they don’t even have to dial the phones themselves.
But Stemberger’s pitch to fire up his volunteers isn’t pro-Romney; it’s anti-Obama.
“You may not like the [Republican] nominee,” he told one group of prospective champions. “We have got to think clearly about this. We can’t be purists. If we’re purists, strategically we’re done.”
GO NEWT!!
BTTT
Since we have had our primary already, the more voters against BO, the better. We don’t know who we will have as a nominee yet....come on Newt!!
I support Newt and I agree totally, my point was the people heading and funding this effort consider Romney the nominee..
CHA-CHING! I just got what you are saying... let them organize for the anti-obama, whom everyone thinks will be Willard, and then when Newt grabs it by God and miracles and boots, they will still be ready to vote anti-obama - ONLY IT WILL BE FOR NEWT!
You are quite the political scientist!! thanks!

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!
Yes, Amen. But, I’ve two concerns:
#1. Will some of those registered be Black Evangelicals who will vote for Obama anyway?
#2. I hear some Christians won’t vote for Romney because he’s a Mormon.
#1. Will some of those registered be Black Evangelicals who will vote for Obama anyway?
There are too few to worry about, but they won't vote 100% for Obama if they are active Evangelicals.
#2. I hear some Christians wont vote for Romney because hes a Mormon.
The “some” is 20% as the Pew poll has Obama losing Evangelicals 73/20 with 84% of the 73% saying they will NOT change their mind.
