Onslaught of Union Funded Attack Ads Hit Gov. Walker!
.
The public employee unions have pledged to spent $60 million on their RECALL effort to viciously attack Gov. Walker and distort the truth about the success of his governorship. In fact, they just dropped half a million dollars on TV ads this week alone!
.
.
Gov. Scott Walker is Under Attack by a Barrage of Negative Union Ads and Needs our Support Today
.
With the June 5th RECALL election just around the corner, we need your support to defend Gov. Walker and combat the well-funded mudslinging from the liberal left and unions.
.
Gov. Walker recently had this to say about the urgency and importance for us to help defend him:
.
"Big-government union bosses and Washington insider special interests have started pouring money into Wisconsin in an attempt to push me out of office and reclaim their stranglehold on Wisconsins tax dollars.
This election is not only a fight for Wisconsin. It's a fight for our conservative values nationwide. A win on June 5th will be a referendum on those trying to stifle the voice of the people and hand power back to the big-government public union bosses that want nothing more than complete control of a states budget.
We must defeat this baseless recall. We must defeat the liberal left that is trying to silence the majority of hard working taxpayers and further raid their wallets to keep their bloated bureaucracies afloat."

Trust me on this one: I have friends in Wisconsin. The more the Union's run attack ads against Walker, the more the folks who voted for Walker are reminded of exactly
why they voted for him. They are less than happy about the recall, they're tired of being intimidated by the unions, and they're the Silent Majority of Wisconsin.
(So my friends there tell me anyway.....)

Gee, I thought Unions were supposed represent employees to negotiate with employers, how did that turn into bilk the government for more money and benefits?

If the Unions and Dems blow huge dinero$ in attempts to defeat Walker but he wins by a landslide instead that will be sweeter than Cuban sugar cane syrup.

WARNING: The unions will do anything to win this one. they must win. If they do not then other electorates will also be able to deny them the ability to confiscate union dues directly from wages. If the unions lose this one they are DONE.

Yes, this is a very important bell weather situation.
The union crime bosses are going all out on this one.
I hope they are wasting their money.
We have to not only get out the vote, but fight against voter fraud and intimidation.
Plus the PTB’s allowing Mickey Mouse and Hitler to vote.

That is,/I>what this is all about, with it they are done.
FWIW, Michigan got it in a limited way with I believe teachers only.
Watch Michigan next, and a guy by the name of Terry Bowman of Union Conservatives.

@usconservative. I'm in Wisconsin and your assessment is correct. Record turnouts at Republican caucuses and Lincoln Day Dinners. My worry is the clueless folks (like the ones who elected Obama) will be swayed by the attack ads. If conservative groups have enough money for similar attacks on either of the two likely ‘Rat opponents. They should even out.

I also have a couple friends there and they are saying the same thing.
The unions are making the case to keep Walker where he is. Gotta love it!

Unless this was changed later, I think a major issue was that not only was the governor changing their money without negotiation, he was also refusing to negotiate over hours and working conditions.
To: gleeaikin
To clarify...
Act 10 was Walker’s budget reform. Under it the law allows state, school districts, and municipal employers to ask state employees to contribute a minimum percentage toward their health care and their pensions. It withdrew the privilege that the unions had in ‘collective bargaining, limiting their bargaining to wages and limiting those to inflation. Their working conditions are still protected by state civil service laws.
Keeping the record very clear, Walker did try to negotiate with the unions before the Act 10. They called him a ‘slave master’ for asking for these concessions.
What really torqued the unions was that Act 10 also relieved the state of the responsibility to collect union dues. This stops the easy income of big labor and over time will lead to a drastically smaller income. That is why they are on the warpath.
Stopping big unions allowed our property taxes to go down. It will also lead to improvement in our schools.

Oh I forgot one more element. The teacher’s unions had used their collective bargaining to force school districts to use the teacher’s union’s own health insurance company. This company charged about 1/3 over market rates. Getting rid of this coerced sweetheart deal saved Wisconsin taxpayers in the neighborhood of eight hundred million dollars.
Those are the major issues.
