Oh he runs a reelection campaign all right, and does it with true slickness. As long as he stays away from the big issues that will bite him in the butt he knows his guy is viable.
Yep, if Romney is the nominee the TEA Party and other Conservatives have to tell voters of the poor instinct and bad judgements, as Romneys strategy of nice guy, in over his head to spare his feelings being hurt, isnt relevant to the result of the Democrats and their Candidates stated legislative intent;

An average of 453,250 workers per week, nearly 100,000 per day, were still being laid off 21 months into the Obama Stimulus.
True,sad time for this thread.
Your #86. Good analogy.
Reality is the issue. In the next Pres term we will see two likely Supreme Court appointments. Even with 60 (hopefully) Senate votes, some will cave to Obama’s appointments. Even though many Romney haters will say he will appoint leftist judges, I can’t believe they’d be worse than Obama’s picks.
Again - this is reality.
Speaking of this thread, I read up at the opening, it said Romney would be on one of the talk shows. Anybody know what he said? The gratitude of the tubeless lies waiting like a laurel crown.
Sorry, make that Romney’s Sketch boy would be on. I’m so bad this morning, I think somebody slipped me decaf.
Quite the outfit on Shirley Jackson Lee there on Face the Nation. Yikes!
Another metaphor; ‘Give us Barabbas’. I’m voting against every Democrat on my ballot. And I won’t go silent in the face of appeasing Democrats with a slightly less progressive income tax, Mr Romney. Go Newt!
I also remember Trent Lott’s agreeing to “sharing” power with the Democrats when the senate was 50-50. Also remember the 108th senate was 51-49 GOP with Snowe, Collins and Specter as well as other left leaning senators.
The reality is GW Bush only had a favorable split in the senate for the 109th, having 55 GOP senators. That’s two of 8 years as we lost all of congress in 2006.
For the record I voted for Newt in the Illinois primary. He’s probably not going to get the nomination. Now what?
HA!
No you didn’t miss it..I got mixed up..Mitch Daniels, not Demint. Yeesh.
As Axelrod stays away from the big issues, that will disappoint the Intellectual Democrat Supporters that think they’ve actually got issues to run on. Air America and Ed Schultz may be entertaining for about 2 minutes, 39 seconds, collectively...
Prepare for the worst economic freeze in modern history if Democrats control any of the 3 Legislative Branches of Government, Summer 2013. Just look at how anemic construction hiring is this spring.
I’m a little ticked still that Texas doesn’t get to vote in a meaningful primary.
Judges. Sheesh.
Not sure how I’ll vote. Newt may be out by then. Can’t figure out why he’s continuing to run up debt in this fruitless quest unless he thinks something good (?) will ome out of it.
FYI, Mitch Daniels got his start working for Lugar. He announced his support way before Mourdock declared. He is being loyal to a guy who helped him, just like Sarah Palin endorsed McCain in the Arizona senate race.
I worked with Mourdock years ago, during the Carter years. I can attest to his conservatism and will be voting for him.
But just let the Daniels thing go. It’s the same as what Palin did.
Exactly,we ignore reality at our own demise.
LOL! Nothing like a huge caffeine jolt for my one day off. I sympathize.
Excellent point. I bring this up whenever and wherever I can. It neutralizes a lot of their arguments.GW’s last two years were dominated by a hostile commie Congress. He was not able to get much done being averse to self legislating like we see with the current regime.
