Just got the NYT breaking news alert, which links to their story, headlined:

Charles W. Colson, Watergate Felon Reborn as Evangelical Leader, Dies at 80.

Which makes me wonder, how often is John Dean listed as "John Dean, Watergate Felon, [does this/does that]"?

We have probably all seen the horrible things they said about Whittaker Chambers. He became a Quaker (although he spent a lot of time as a volunteer at various Catholic monasteries) but once he abandoned the left, they flew around like enraged wasps.

If the left can say anything negative about somebody who is a believer, they will. And of course the press will publish it.

I saw the AP piece about Colson's death and it referred to him as one of Nixon's (Watergate) hatchet men.
That the man experienced a real jailhouse conversion and lead a truly remarkable life helping others means nothing to these scumbags.
You'd think he was the one who sold missile secrets to the Chinese or made secret deals with the Russians.

Feckin' commies.
