Why is that an "unfortunate quote?" Knowing of Colson's ministry it makes perfect sense.

RIP. Happy reunion with The Church.

He also did great things for the Catholic/Evangelical relationship. I’m Catholic, and I loved reading everything he wrote. He was orthodox all the way (and I think “big O” Orthodox liked him also).

    RIP Chuck

No question in my mind that Chuck Colson is now meeting the many souls that he and those working in his ministry, led to Christ and I am certain that the first words he heard after leaving this mortal coil were "well done good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of thy Lord".

 Our loss is Heaven's gain.

May God be with his family and loved ones.

Good to see you Brother, hope your weekend is great.

True to form, the AOL home page headline is “Watergate Figure, ‘Evil Genuis’ Dead at 80.”
RIP to a great Christian man.

I’ve listened to many of Breakpoint broadcasts, and read a couple of good books from him, including “The Good Life”, which I recommend to anyone. A real warrior with a strong Christian voice and intellect.
Rest in Peace,
— Joe

His life is a testimony to God’s redemption. It may be an urban legend but I read once that G Gordon Liddy said upon hearing that Chuck Colson had become a christian that Colson “would run over his gramma for Nixon I can only imagine what he’ll do for Jesus Christ”. I read that last week was the first time in a long time he spent Easter Sunday somewhere else other than prison. He usually worked with a prison fellowship group every Easter for many years. I recall seeing him on Crossfire in the early 80’s whern they had Pat Buchanan andTom Bradon was the liberal. Bradon was skeptical of Colson christian conversion but after that show was convinced his faith was real. Colson’s life is a testimony to God’s grace.

Well, they should say this about Colson:

    | Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

May his family be comforted knowing how many lives he touched and changed for the better. What a great example he set in life. RIP, Chuck.

A real warrior with a strong Christian voice and intellect. Yes, indeed. And much needed in this messed up, leftist world.
He will be sorely missed!
