He got an award from Dick Armey's FreedomWorks, at which former UT US Senator Bill Bennett (turned out by the Tea Party) is a senior fellow.
He's only been in office 3 years... trust but verify.

Hatch is denying the charges made against him by various conservative groups. Can someone please post accurate, documented charges against him? So far, it’s “he says; they say.”

Well, I've been on FR for 10 years and never had a problem calling out stupid.
The idea that one is automatically a political liberal because they are a Mormon is ridiculous. Dumb as it is, there are a few fanatics that insist this is true. Never mind all the Tea Party Mormons who helped get rid of Bennett and are trying to do the same to Hatch. Some of these people just hate Mormons and insist on repeating dopey things on thread after thread.
