SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. —
WFTV just learned Friday morning about a picture of gunman George Zimmerman, taken just three minutes after the shooting that left 17-year-old Trayvon Martin dead.
The picture reportedly shows cuts on the back of Zimmerman's head, with blood trickling down.
Zimmerman, who shot and killed 17-year-old Martin on February 26 in a gated Sanford community, claimed he killed Martin in self-defense. Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder for the shooting death of Martin.
The picture would seem to back up Zimmerman's claim that Martin slammed his head against the sidewalk.
That picture could be part of the evidence shown to the judge in court Friday morning during Zimmerman's bond hearing.
ABC News is breaking more on this story on Good Morning America at 7 a.m. on Channel 9. We'll have more on Central Florida's TV 27 at 7 a.m.
Meanwhile, Trayvon Martin's parents will come face to face for the first time with Zimmerman on Friday.
Zimmerman is due in a Seminole County courtroom for a bond hearing at 9 a.m.
After a week and a half behind bars, Zimmerman may be walking out of jail to await trial on a second-degree murder charge.
The parents of 17-year-old Martin are expected in the courtroom during the bond hearing.
Zimmerman's attorney Mark O'Mara will likely argue to Judge Kenneth Lester that Zimmerman is not a flight risk, pointing to fact that Zimmerman turned himself in immediately when charges were filed.
Judge Lester must decide if Zimmerman will be offered bond.

IOW in FL the bondsman gets to keep 15k and zimmerman has to put up 150k collateral. There is no cash equivalent bond in fl.
Either way this is far less than 1,000,000 the state retreated towards or the no bond demand prior.
the state’s case fell appart today and you could hear the new room chiefs calling THEIR lawyers.
It SHOULD be time for them to move on to the next sideshow, but I am never not amazed by their ability to absolutely IGNORE reality (definition of ignorant), and fabricate a racist conspiracy. It was what they did after Katrina. They will keep doing it as long as they keep getting away with it and profiting from it.
All I can say is thank God he had a fair judge.
Most of the file is motions filed by the media
Judge said he was very familiar with ABC officer cases with University of Central Florida (UCF) students, and did not appear to be considering it evidence of Zimmerman being a very violent person.
As well, he said the injunctions between Zimmerman and an ex girlfriend were relatively tame when compared to others he has had court involvement with.
My take is this: Basically, the prosecutor’s allegations were puffing, exageration, and not worth a bucket of warm spit, in this judge’s mind.
Maybe she said it intentionally, knowing Prosecution had nothing and GZ was not guilty of anything other than protecting himself.
Maybe she thought, why pile more on these people who probably already knew their kid was a thug but could not control him and that he is the one responsible, not GZ.

If he has been granted bail, better make sure that when he leaves the jail there ISN’T a large group of angry black thugs waiting to attack the vehicle and lynch him. I can just see that happening.
I don’t know if that’s a good thing, for his safety’s sake.
Interesting that a witness would have the presence of mind to take a photograph so quickly (3 minutes) after the shot was fired.
Well now. An honest judge and an astute attorney in O’Mara. Pro bono at that. The pros looked like a dumba## stuttering and stammering all over himself. This case should have been thrown out today.

I was astounded by Dale Gilbreath’s arrogance.
Was just watching him on the live feed, circling around the prosecutors ... chuckling.
He won’t be chuckling if this goes to trial as he’ll be ripped to shreds.
Any time the average citizen gets involved in “the system” the cabal of LEOs, judges, lawyers and bail bondsmen ALL get a piece of you whether you are innocent or guilty.
