The president’s Secret Service detail, preparing for his visit to Colombia, took some time to unwind and enjoy the local flavor. We all know the sordid details. But the New York Times today gives us more detail on the matter, some very important detail.
These very high-level men did not consort with prostitutes. No, these ladies were at a level commensurate with their clients. They were escorts. Our Paper of Record performs an important community service, giving these two ladies the opportunity to clarify the difference. One woman, who declined to give her name, explains:
The price alone [of $800], she said, indicates that she is an escort, not a prostitute. “You have higher rank,” she said. “An escort is someone who a man can take out to dinner. She can dress nicely, wear nice makeup, speak and act like a lady. That’s me.”
Get it? An escort is not a prostitute. She is something else altogether. Our “All the News that’s Fit to Print” reporter continues,
She was dismayed, she said, that the news reports have described her as a prostitute as though she walked the streets picking up just anyone.
“It’s the same, but it’s different,” she said, indicating that she is much more selective about her clients and charges much more than a streetwalker. “It’s like when you buy a fine rum or a BlackBerry or an iPhone. They have a different price.
She trolls for clients inside fancy buildings, not on the street. Please. But the article describes a tussle between the escort and her client the next morning as she started to leave. The Secret Service agent tried to pay her about about $30. She informed the rate was more like $800. Apparently that clear difference between an escort and common hooker was lost on him. But he should have known, because prostitutes — I imagine — demand payment before delivery. Apparently escorts don’t. After hotel security got involved, the agent finally offered her $225, which was close to the $250 she owed her pimp — or client-referral professional — for the hook-up.
Apparently there are fine, but important nuances, in the sex-worker hierarchy.

That's a very good point.
I run a fairly large department at my workplace and we've terminated employees for far less than what Clinton did while in office.
As for Obama, I wouldn't hire him to manage the stockroom. Nothing personal but no managerial experience. No work experience. Yet he somehow became president of the United States. It's depressing to think about.
Probably an intervention would have been the only thing that would have worked. I'm talking about a clean-break intervention where you get the person to agree to relocate to some deserted backwater place with no wired devices around to reconnect with her negative influences. A distant, primitive island would be ideal, but if it has to be on the same continent, it had better be more than a day's walk to civilization, and you'd better drive them there at night, blind-folded, or stone-cold asleep.
The only way some people can get to where they'll stick with a decision to clean up is if they believe they've put themselves voluntarily into a situation where they have no choice, and others that they know care for them are around to walk it out with them for many days on end.
That isn't something your average working-class stiff can pull off; it takes copious amounts of time, and an ability to NOT have to go to work for many, many months.
Good on ya for doing all you could.
Astor: Winston you are drunk!
Churchill: And Madam you are ugly but in the morning I will be sober.
Especially the married ones...
“Especially the married ones... “
####
Not characteristic of any married guys I know, or would want to......
Sometimes no matter how you try to minister to people...not church ministry, just trying to help someone you know is worth the effort... it just doesn’t work.
Sometimes Shelly would show up at my house when I was getting home at 7-8AM in the middle of winter. She always wore a thin pink knitted top with bare midriff and tight jeans. She’d sit on the steps in snow and ice and smoke until I got home. Then she’d yell at me asking why it took me so long.
Mrs p6 and I would take her in, warm her up with breakfast or at least coffee or tea. Then she’d refuse to stay and we would take her to wherever her home was that week.
This wasn’t enabling. She would snap out and be great for months and then suddenly go back.
There is so much more to her story but I won’t go into it for several reasons including the horrible memories it stirs. I was the last one to see her alive in the hospital...Shelly’s oldest daughter stabbed to death her father because he was assaulting her. I think that’s when Shelly broke. From that point on she escaped to drugs and booze and sex.
Shelly did make attempts to thank mrs p6 and I. If we took her shopping she’d insist on buying things for us. Things we knew she couldn’t afford but it left her with some pride.
Let’s say it was one of the biggest fails Mrs p6 and I have ever experienced and pray Shelly made things good with The Lord and her soul is in a better place.
Lady Astor: Winston, if I were your wife, I’d put poison in that tea.
Churchill: Madam, if I were your husband, I’d drink it.
That’s because, when they are alive you can “Call” them, but when they are dead you have to fish them out of the river with a “Hook”.
The word came from the name of the Union general who was the military governor of New Orleans during the Civil War a general Hooker.
Two things:
1) If ye be in Christ, YOUR ministry WAS “church ministry” the way it’s supposed to be, and thank you for it. “Church” ain’t a building; it’s a body of people with skin on who walk — and sometimes stumble — out their faith every day in front of a world far more in need of a DEMONSTRATION of “Christianity” than a definition.
2) I read you wall-to-wall as regards memories. Got a few of my own ‘n’ I prefer to let sleeping dogs lie.
You should have known better than to fall for a Democrat.
LOL!
There were a lot of keepers in that movie.
Ping, but you probably know all of this.
id given her a couple slices of pizza and a drink or two here and there because i felt sorry for her so we knew one another. i told her to go in and take a shower so she could get warm and id let her wear some of my things till hers dried out. she wasnt bad looking once she was cleaned up without the makeup. she had been a Pharmacists-Mate in the Navy so she was no dummy, she just got lost on crack.
now im sure its hard enough to be a crackwhore, but a WHITE crackwhore on STX has REALLY got it bad. i knew she'd been raped a couple times and tortured during the second one, butts put out on her etc, but the Cruzian cops didn't care. she ate a couple slices of cold pizza while we talked and she fell asleep on the couch. i put a poncho liner over her and she slept for almost twelve straight hours without ever getting up. it was probably the first time in God knows how long that her guardian angle told her she was safe and didnt have to worry so she slept like the dead. when she woke up i had a hard time convincing her i really didnt want sex in return so she told me to tell her anytime i wanted some free stress relief. go in peace my child. (the Christian Hedonist)
i saw here and there now and again then a month or so later she just disappeared...
i still think of her now and again and hope she finally found peace
She put heroin through her eyes?????? What does that even mean???? Why would anyone do that?
Eyewash cup. I have no idea how it’s done but that was the autopsy report. Personally while I think drugs were involved there was something else and her boyfriend, who is now paying a painful price, is suffering every day with colon and prostrate cancer. I believe he was involved in some weird sex game with her.
Best picture I’ve seen in while. Well played, sir
