See tagline. The "I don't really want to, but I'll have to support Willard" crowd epitomize that statement.

To make it clearer, let me provide the context:

To recoil before an enemy, or to keep silence when from all sides such clamors are raised against truth, is the part of a man either devoid of character or who entertains doubt as to the truth of what he professes to believe. In both cases such mode of behaving is base and is insulting to God, and both are incompatible with the salvation of mankind. This kind of conduct is profitable only to the enemies of the faith, for nothing emboldens the wicked so greatly as the lack of courage on the part of the good. Moreover, want of vigor on the part of Christians is so much the more blameworthy, as not seldom little would be needed on their part to bring to naught false charges and refute erroneous opinions, and by always exerting themselves more strenuously they might reckon upon being successful. After all, no one can be prevented from putting forth that strength of soul which is the characteristic of true Christians, and very frequently by such display of courage our enemies lose heart and their designs are thwarted. Christians are, moreover, born for combat, whereof the greater the vehemence, the more assured, God aiding, the triumph: "Have confidence; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

From a letter by Pope Leo XIII (1890), On Christians as Citizens

To support a pro-abort, homosexualist chameleon solely because he might not be as bad as Øbama is the height of cowardice and displays conduct unworthy of a Christian.

Awesome quote from Pope Leo XIII!

The whole idea of supporting the lesser of two evil’s is unChristian. Voting for the lesser of two evils just illustrates the weakness of faith in this country.

From the words of the late Bishop Fulton Sheen...

“human life is reduced to real suffering, to hell when two ages, two cultures and two religions overlap... There are times when a whole generation is caught up in this way between two ages, two modes of life, with the consequence that it loses all power to understand itself, and has no standard or security, no simple acquiescence.”

I think much of the argument can be summed up as:

One side thinks the other underestimates how bad Romney will be, and one side thinks the other underestimates how bad Obama will be.

So, you think its wrong to vote for the opponent if the opponent is Romney..........? Wouldn’t that insure an Obama victory? So.......whats a person to do? The Pope isn’t running!

Like you, I cannot, and will never support Willard. He can never earn my vote. It isn’t a matter of lacking the desire for solidarity. All we can hope for, as far as the Candidates go, is either for Willard to be accidentally consumed by the world’s largest man, and thus have a race between RP and Newt, or a brokered convention where a mysterious dark horse of some significant quality rises. I’m not holding my breath, either way.
