The US has an experimental High Energy Laser platform based on a 747. I wonder if it might have been cruising in the area. It has been used to cause exactly this type of failure. It’s unlikely that anyone would have noticed it up there.

The US has an experimental High Energy Laser platform based on a 747... My thoughts exactly! Of course after Hussein, The Traitor, "shares" our technology with his bud Vlad and the russkies, the NORKS will soon know how to counter any of our defenses.

This is the first thing I thought of when I heard that it failed. I agree, using a laser to destroy the rocket would probably leave no evidence, especially if NK cannot recover the broken pieces.
Congrats DARPA!

"Funding for the program was cut in 2010 and the program was canceled in December 2011. It made its final flight on February 14, 2012 to DavisMonthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona to be prepared and kept in storage at the "Boneyard" by the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group."
