The Ron Paul campaign has consistently maintained that it has won far more delegates than is generally reported by the media. The Associated Press projects Romney’s delegate count to be well over 600, more than ten times their projections for Ron Paul. However, Colorado has provided some evidence that the Paul campaign’s demise has been greatly exaggerated.
Colorado completed its state convention yesterday. Under the headline, “Romney lost Colo. caucuses, gets most delegates,” Real Clear Politics reported the results this way.
“GOP has chosen 13 Romney delegates and six Santorum delegates. The remaining 17 delegates are unpledged, meaning they are free to choose any Republican candidate for president.”
That’s technically accurate, but it begs a question from anyone even minimally curious: Who do those 17 unpledged delegates support?

If Ron Paul can keep Mitt Romney from getting a simple majority of delegates, then G-d bless his little Martian heart.
Ineligible Romney makes even Ron Paul look “good”.
Ron Paul, for all his Constitutionality talk, doesn’t want to do what it takes to properly defend out great country. Ron Paul would be against what Reagan did to take down the Evil Empire.
I suggest a jello wrestling ring, and give the audience water balloons filled with paint. The media would love it.
Good scenario denies Mittens the delegates to clinch the nomination. Concerned the “super delegates” will hand it to him or he will buy off Santorum or Gingrich.
Best case scenario has a deadlocked convention that selects a Palin/Rubio ticket.
Realistic scenario is a deadlocked convention would select a Jeb Bush/Paul Ryan ticket. Unacceptable but more likely than Palin/Rubio.
Of course, the key is to keep Romney from getting the nomination in the first place. And I’m hoping crazy Ron Paul will produce on that front.
Then again, what’s Ron Paul’s price? A keynote at the convention? Mittens selecting Rand as running mate? A resolution condemning the existence of Israel? Who knows?

How is that even a realistic scenario as neither will have brought delegates to the convention? We need to start living in realville and quit hoping for change.

Summer Soldier Santorum needs to un-suspend his suspended Campaign and bring the battle against the GOP-Elite to the Tampa Convention Floor.
In this battle, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” is a VERY useful concept!
Why? He has been Romney's butt boy through most of this campaign. Never attacking Romney, yet attacking Romney's opponents in States where he wasn't even campaigning.

So trade one Liberal RINO for another? The Constitution Party is on the verge of nominating Virgil Goode as their nominee. This guy was a life-long democrat and only switched to the Republican Party when it was pragmatic then jumped to the Constitution party. He is the poster child for RINOs.
One Constitution Party supporting blog I read lately even compared Goode to Romney on the issues and saying the Constitution Party was going the way of the Republicans.

I've been predicting we are about to see a general election like we've never seen before. The media will turn it into a fusion of American Idol and the Apprentice.
Goode’s stances on current issues. The only stance to which I might take exception is Social Security. But, please... tell me how they align with Romney’s.
As for his having left the democrat party before 2000... does it really matter at this point? I’ll still take him over Romney any day. Goode was a fine representative for VA’s 5th District and lost a paper-thin close reelection in 2008.
•Medical Costs: A big factor in medical costs is the high cost of malpractice insurance for our physicians and other health care providers. I support tort reform that will limit attorney fees and the amount of damages recoverable for non-economic losses.
•Social Security: We must preserve and protect Social Security. Social Security is owed over two trillion dollars. Social Security should be repaid and have real money in the Social Security Trust Fund and not IOU’s.
•Marriage: I believe that marriage should be a union between a man and a woman. I am opposed to gay marriages and so-called gay civil unions. I support the federal Marriage Protection Amendment.
•Health Care: I support ending Obamacare.
•Public Education: Washington should not be running our local school systems. We need to leave local education decisions to the states and localities. I am opposed to national testing of public school students and voted against “No Child Left Behind” with its new mandates and new tests that must comply with national standards. I support ending the federal Department of Education.
•Crime and the Second Amendment: We need to maintain capital punishment for certain murders and to fully prosecute those who commit crimes with firearms. I fully support the right of an individual to protect himself or herself against assault and violent attack. I was honored to be co-chair of the Second Amendment Caucus during part of my tenure in Congress.
•National Defense: We need a strong national defense. However, reckless federal spending which has given us a deficit in excess of one trillion dollars necessitates cutting defense spending. We must now come home from Afghanistan and reduce our expenditures around the globe.
•Veteran’s Benefits: I support funding for veterans’ health care and providing health care benefits to all veterans. We also need to insure that the Veteran’s Administration works with and on behalf of our veterans.
•Abortion: In the United States House of Representatives, I had a consistent pro-life voting record and in 2008 the National Right to Life Political Action Committee commended me “for your 100 percent pro-life voting record throughout your twelve years of service in the U.S. House of Representatives”. As President I would continue to oppose abortion and would submit a budget to Congress with zero funding for planned parenthood and any other similar entities.
•International Relations: I oppose the placement of our Armed Forces under United Nations command. We need to curtail expenditures to the UN, the World Bank, the IMF, and to foreign nations. Our sovereignty, in my opinion, should always be paramount. I also vigorously oppose Agenda 21 and other globalism schemes so harmful to the citizens of the United States.
•North American Union: We need to block any union between the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The sovereignty of the United States must be preserved. In Congress I sponsored a resolution against the North American Union.
•Trade: Agreements like NAFTA and the trade provisions in fast track authorization lead to the erosion of this country’s vital manufacturing base. I do not favor international trade agreements such as these that result in a loss of American sovereignty and jobs.
•Term Limits: Term limits for members of the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate are necessary for a Congress more responsive to the needs of our country and its citizens. Many members focus too much time and attention on raising money for the next election. Term limits will result in members caring more about the general good for the county. If elected President, I will serve only one term and not focus on raising money and getting votes for the next election. The country shall be first.
If Ron Paul runs third party, and the Libertarians choose Sarah Palin, I will vote Libertarian for Palin, as Romney cannot beat Obama in such a split.
In fact, I doubt he can beat Obama without either of these cases.
Supporting SS and, implicitly, Medicare is no more constitutional than supporting DOE, etc. Similarly, tort reform is a state matter (and generally a good thing). Not so very constitutional...
