Portland Mayor Sam Adams announced Thursday he will not honor a state arbitrator's ruling ordering the city to reinstate Ronald Frashour as a city police officer.

It marks the first time the city has blatantly ignored an arbitrator's ruling on Portland police discipline.

Seems to me that the people who should have been fired are the supervisors who set up the situation where a ‘wellness check’ results in someone who is walking backwards with their hands atop their head is shot six times with a beanbag gun, not the officer who had a weapon trained on a person and charged with the safety of other officers.

Oh, and the whole system where you’re entitled to a job. The only award I think should be made in this case is lost salary up until the arbitration for unjust firing. I do not think that anyone should tell anyone that they must employ someone. Here’s your lost wages, hope you’ve already found another job.

So in the end, I’m forced to side with the city for all the right reasons, as they fight it for all the wrong ones.

Adams is indeed a (piece of) Demo-crap but I think he’s right in this. The Portland Police have a long record of ‘shoot first and enjoy the paid administrative leave.’

My wife and I, as we drive the streets, often see a patrol car and sarcasticly ask “don’t you feel safer now?” When TS does finally HTF the Portland Police will be high on the target lists of both the looters and those who have been looted.

Campbell, distraught and suicidal over his brother’s death earlier that day, emerged from a Northeast Portland apartment with his back toward officers and his hands behind his head.

Officer Ryan Lewton, who said he was trying to get Campbell to put his hands in the air, fired six beanbag rounds at him. Campbell turned and ran toward a parked car. Frashour fired a rifle shot at Campbell, killing him.

So this is what happened. If it is an honest account, without video, and given the media’s/Demonrat’s habit of lying when it comes to race baiting opportunities, we don’t know.

If the man was shot with bean bags when he had his hands behind his head (submission), they all should be canned; not just the idiot who murdered him for running from the bean bag assault.

I'm inclined to believe it, there is too little restraint when it comes to cops shooting folks in Portland (and Oregon in general). Has nothing to do with race though, plenty of white folks are among those victims.
